Book Giveaway | Becky Wade’s Her One and Only

June 3, 2016 29 Comments

Hello, fellow booknerdigans! Not only am I reviewing the latest novel from one of my most favorite authors, today there’s a little surprise. There are copies of that book up for grabs in today’s blog giveaway for one of you to enjoy. Yes, by the way, “copy” is plural. Because of a preorder, double review copy situation, I have two copies to give away. Selfishly I could keep them because, guys, this book, it’s awesome (as usual) and so pretty too, but really, let’s face it, one copy shall sufficiently suit me. So, this brings us to our giveaway details.

BOOK REVIEW | Her One and Only by Becky Wade

HER ONE AND ONLY Gray Fowler, star NFL tight end, is being pursued by a stalker, so his team hires a protection agency to keep Gray under the watch of a bodyguard at all times. When Gray meets Dru Porter, an agent assigned to him, he’s indignant. How can an attractive young female half his size possibly protect him?

But Dru’s a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt. She’s also ferociously determined to uncover the identity of Gray’s stalker. And she’s just as determined to avoid any kind of romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past. But the closer they get to finding the stalker, the closer they grow to each other. As the danger rises, can Dru and Gray entrust their hearts–and their lives–to one another? – Goodreads

And now let’s get the rule details out of the way.

The giveaway(s) is open to US readers. The prize will be a paperback, unless otherwise noted (when applicable U.S. readers might have a paperback option). I do ask that anyone who leaves a comment under “anonymous,” please leave the same name you enter into the widget in your comment – it’s not easy to try and match comments when there is no name and in fairness to everyone else, I want to be able to be sure everyone who used the Rafflecopter correctly has a fair chance at winning against those who abuse it – there have been a few people I could not verify. So please, I don’t mean to overwhelm, but just keep this in mind when entering future giveaways. I’d sure appreciate it! Winner(s) will have 48 hours to respond to the email notification before another winner is randomly chosen.

To be entered in the giveaway, just enter as much or as little as you like into the Rafflecopter widget, which you’ll find down below. The Giveaway ends June 11th.

Tweet any of the following “shareables” (if you use this as an entry, make sure to enter them in the Rafflecopter widget):

I'm looking forward to reading this one at some point! I've really enjoyed Becky Wade's other books, and Dru always seemed like such an intriguing character. :)

    • Rissi June 5, 2016 at 8:24 pm

Dru is indeed an intriguing character, Kristin. I agree. And this novel? It's Becky Wade genius. As usual. Happy reading!

    • Rissi June 5, 2016 at 8:25 pm

I really need to read Julie's contemporary series, and Christina is a new author to me. I'll have to look her booklist up. :) Thanks, Katy.

Me too, Sarah! Love My Stubborn Heart. In fact, one of these days a reread is in order. :)

My current read is A Cowboy's Touch by Denise Hunter. One of my favorite contemporary books is The Convenient Groom .

    • Rissi June 5, 2016 at 9:28 pm

How fun! Are you planning on watching the Hallmark adaptation of The Convenient Groom? I've been told that is Denise's best novel, and I've yet to read it! :)

  • Amanda T. June 6, 2016 at 4:23 am

I'm currently rereading The Alaskan Courage series by Dani Pettrey.

    • Rissi June 8, 2016 at 4:03 am

Those books are amazing, Amanda! Have you read Dani's new series? I thought Cold Shot was brilliant. :)

  • Becky Smith June 9, 2016 at 2:40 pm

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 12:15 am

So glad you enjoy Becky's earlier books too, Becky. They're among my most favorites. :)

  • Tina Turpin June 9, 2016 at 3:01 pm

This has two things I like, football and suspense. I loved From the Start by Becky Wade, so excited to read this one too!

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 12:15 am

I think you'll really enjoy this one then, Tina. :) Happy reading – and good luck!

I found wonderland through a FB newsfeed about this site and book giveaway. I love to keep up with my favorite authors and I love free books :)

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 12:19 am

Glad to know you discovered this post, Susan. Thanks so much for sharing the how. :) As for this novel, if you enjoyed Becky's earlier books, you're sure to love this one too. Happy reading – and best of luck! :)

Hi! Becky Wade's The Porter Family Series is AMAZING! I highly recommend all her books!

      I agree, Emilee! They're all amazing. :)

  • Valerie Pennington June 9, 2016 at 6:55 pm

This sounds lovely! I just finished Two Summers by Aimee Friedman and I didn't love it as much as I thought I would… But I just started A Fierce and Subtle Poison and I'm hoping to like it. :)

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 5:43 pm

Both of those books are titles I'm interested in, Valerie! Let me know what you think of 'Poison' (it sounds and looks so good!), and I'm sorry you didn't love Two Summers. A disappointing book is never a good thing in a book nerd's life.

  • Nancy M June 10, 2016 at 4:43 am

I'm currently reading two books! Amy Leigh Simpson's From Winter's Ashes and Lori Benton's A Flight of Arrows. Total opposite of the spectrum of book topics! Thanks for the chance for this awesome book!

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 5:47 pm

I'm currently reading two completely opposite books as well, Nancy. But, hey, sometimes variety is most fun! :) Happy reading – and best of luck (I'll be drawing the two random winners names soon).

  • Kate June 10, 2016 at 11:09 am

I'm currently reading Jen Turano's latest. I'm loving her quirky style!

    • Rissi June 11, 2016 at 5:48 pm

How fun. I know lots of bloggers who enjoy Jen's fun style. Hope you enjoy, Kate. :)

  • Emilee Douglas June 13, 2016 at 4:48 pm

I got your email that I won. Thank you! But every time I reply to you with my address it comes back. So can you give me another email because this one didn't work.

    • Rissi June 15, 2016 at 1:08 am

Thanks so much for checking in, Emilee. How strange! My apologies that you're finding it difficult to get in touch and having to be annoyed by my email server acting up. I did receive your email, so all is good. :) In fact, I was going to email you back tonight or tomorrow with the happy news that I mailed your book today. :) Hope you enjoy!
