Month in Review | November 2018 + #Booktube Talk

by

Hey, there (almost) December! Another end of another month brings with it yet another Finding Wonderland Month in Review recap-y thing aka our Month in Review November 2018. Let’s share all the past month’s recap thoughts.

Ciao, November 2018. Bonjour, December!

Here we go.

Month in Review November 2018 + #Booktube Talk

Month in Review

1: Blog | This space is a big work in progress because of all the re-formats that now have to happen. My sincere apologies. I’m trying to fix some every day, but going through nearly 2,000 backlogs of reviews is going to take a while. Thank you in advance for the patience and my apologies for those of you who may read the archive reviews.

2: Christmas Movies | Yes, I’m leaving this on the list because there is still all the Christmas movies playing at my house… and I mostly, love it. It’s this that will inspire the next booktube video that I film. Only thing is, now I need to actually film said video.

3: Gift Guides | I had a lot of fun putting together two gift guides for Finding Wonderland. This is a very different kind of post for this blog, but it was so much fun! Part 1 is a kind of “Fangirl Gift Guide” that covers various fandoms, and part 2 is curated more for the bookworms on your list!

…after these repeat “news” items, I feel as if this is pretty much all there is to say. Hopefully, in the new year, there will be more things to talk about!

1: Avengers: Infinity War – An Epic End in the New Beginning (because I still love my Avengers!)

2: (All Things) Christmas | This month I’ve reviewed lots of Christmas films, and even some books. These include It’s Christmas, Eve (because sometimes the movies that you don’t think you’ll like end up being a favorite); and Last Vermont Christmas. Also, I just reviewed Liz Johnson’s Christmas novella, Christmas at the Red Door Inn.

LeAnn Rimes co-stars in It's Christmas, Eve

3: Crazy Rich Asians – A Colorful Romantic Comedy that Delights (because it’s now on DVD, and – hint, hint – might make the perfect Christmas gift!)

5: The Little Mermaid – An ‘Under the Sea’ Adventure & Romance (because it’s been nearly 30 years since this one premiered!)

PS »Dear Readers«

In case you didn’t notice, there are changes around Finding Wonderland. We’ve moved. I do plan to write a more thorough blog post about this, but in the meantime, I do want to let you know about updates.

If you’re a reader and you’d like to receive updates from this little space (THANK YOU to everyone who does want to), you’ll have to re-follow the blog. Or those who keep up to date via GFC will.

You can do this in one of three ways.

  • Sign up for the RSS Feed (once daily, at most, email update)
  • Sign up for the content update list (this one only goes out 1-2 x a month, at most)
  • Copy + Paste the URL into your Blogger dashboard via the “manage reading list” button (this option is if you’re old-fashioned – like me, and you still use the dashboard)
  • Follow via BlogLovin’ (the feed details I’m still trying to figure out, so that’s not being updated just now)

*Please note, to receive any of these, you will have to “confirm” via email, and this email may be sent to your junk folder

»Around the Interwebs« what else am I writing?

Silver Petticoat | Taking a look back at my month in review on Silver Petticoat.

Articles and Lists | We share our “part 2” preview list of the Countdown to Christmas (Hallmark) 2018 originals! Needless to say, there is lots of new originals to discover on this channel. For our Classic Romantic Moment of the month, I also feature Anne and Phillip from The Greatest Showman.

Film and TV Reviews | I review the Hallmark original, Christmas in Love (ps: Daniel Lissing co-stars!) and the more recent live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, which is bittersweet.

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.
