Party Like It’s Amazon Prime Day 2019

by

We all love a good deal, right? For most of us this might mean we actively seek them out, or maybe for some of us we just have that magic touch that means the deals randomly find us. For two days, our favorite (or maybe not?) online retailer rolls out the deals during their annual “Prime Day” party (for those with Prime subscriptions). This year, Amazon’s Prime Day 2019 celebration is on July 15th and 16th. Two days worth of good (??) deals that are sure to be tempting.

Please Note: this post no longer contains links to the items; just type in any description in the search bar on Amazon if you are looking for something similar.

Amazon has become so much more than just an electronic, appliance or book store. Now you can, not only buy home goods (like organic towels and sheets), you can also purchase groceries in some areas. That is one thought that’s still way too foreign to me. I still like to pick out my own food, thank you very much.

Some of Amazon’s bestsellers are their devices. From their in-home digital helper, Alexa and streaming plugin to their reading devices (Kindle Fire 7 – look at the pretty new colors!), Prime Day is the prime time to pick up any of their devices at really inexpensive pricing (although I will admit, most of their digital devices aren’t terribly priced). All of these prices are rumored to begin Monday the 15th!

FILM REVIEW | Instant Family – A Comedy That Teaches of Life, and Love

Kindle Fire is what my family uses, though mostly just my mother uses, and she loves it (7 is rumored to be $30- and 8 is $50-). If you want only a reader, they also have the Kindle Paperwhite on special for just under $85. Fire TV (which we’re kind of obsessed with) is  only $15 (to start MONDAY); and is a great fit if a: you enjoy watching TV shows or movies and b: you have a Prime subscription. Until July 31st, you can also try Kindle Unlimited for three months for only $0.99* or until July 16th, Prime music for four months for $0.99.*

Today, just for the fun of it, in addition to what I already shared above, I thought I’d share a few of the books I recently added to my shelf. Prime Day doesn’t normally have any great incentive for bookworms, but their prices are always so good that I do splurge. *UPDATE* You can also save $5.00 with a $15.00 book order with code: PRIMEBOOK19

Here’s a few options I’m either curious about or recently added to my bookshelf. (and I’ll update if I spy anything else fun!)

1: Together Forever by Jody Hedlund

Read book one in this ‘Orphan Train’ series by Jody, but alas! As of yet, I haven’t read books two and three. Not because the authors isn’t extremely talented, but because I’m not one for much historical fiction. Have you read these? Goodreads

2: & 3: Call it What You Want and A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

The first I haven’t added to my shelf – yet, and the second I have. I’ve heard amazing things about the latter which is a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast, but very little about Call It What You Want, which is Brigid’s hot-off-the-press release. 4: Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

Said to be a Mulan re-telling with Project Runway vibes, this one is getting all kinds of good vibes. While I’ve never seen ‘Runway,’ I do love Mulan’s epic story… so yes… or no!? Goodreads

5: The Waves by Amy Matayo

My current read; this one is an ideal summertime, fast-paced contemporary! Goodreads

6: Maybe This Time by Kasie West

Had this one preordered. I regret nothing. *smile* Goodreads
