by

Hello, happy readers. Welcome back to Finding Wonderland. Another month of 2019 is “in the books,” as they say, which for this blog means the usual installment of ‘Month in Review: July 2019.’ Make sure to share some of your favorite discoveries in the comments.

Ciao, July 2019. Bonjour, August 2019!

Month in Review: July 2019

Let’s do this!!

Month in Review: July 2019 Updates, News + #Booktube Talk

1: Bookstagram | Lately, I’ve been feeling differently about bookstagram. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still so much fun, and I love the creativity it inspires, but I’m just not the same as I was when I was at my best with posting. Now, part of this is probably because I feel like my camera hates me just now (the settings somehow changed, or something because it no longer takes the kind of photos that play nice in edits), but I will admit, I was SO inspired, and enjoyed the taking of my July 4th inspired photos, so if I could only recapture that. (Really, this is a topic that might re-inspire my “discussion” posts.)

2: Shopping | Speaking of bookstagram, I have bought some new prop-y things lately, so I’m hopeful this too will be a source of creative inspiration! How do you keep your Instagram creative mind going? I welcome all the tips and tricks!

3: TS7 and ‘The Archer’ | So, while I enjoyed ‘ME!’ as a catchy, frothy pop tune, I didn’t love the political bantering of YNTCD, but ‘The Archer’? That’s a pretty solid, beautiful ballad that I hope is a trend Taylor Swift aka the era of TS7 continues on with in her album, Lover. What’s been your favorite new song from her?

BOOK REVIEW | ‘The Waves’ Review: Make Time to Be Taken to This Island Romance!

Also, yes, I will be talking about the album what’s it’s released, so there will be a little bit more TS talk.

1: ‘Good Sam’: The Good Samaritan Headline That Will Inspire You | I’ve seen some reviews that poke fun of this one, but I think it’s a sweet film, and is the type of streaming original I’d adore seeing more of.

4: Sister of the Bride – Whirlwind Romance Leads to ‘I Do’ | This one really impresses. It’s different than most from the Hallmark network, which makes it more unique.

5: The Summer I Turned Pretty – To Grow Up in a YA Romance | FINALLY I read book one in Jenny Han’s other well known series. Imperfect, but also really sweet. Ironically, it was also this time last year I discovered TATBILB!

Silver Petticoat | Taking a look back at my month in review on Silver Petticoat.

Articles and Lists | Because we all love a good swoony (and clean!) read, we talk about 16 free books you might like to read on Kindle (+ share an additional 16 inexpensive options); to celebrate their “Christmas in July” campaign, we also share about 20 of the best “encore” Christmas movies you could see during Hallmark’s celebration; and just today (which is technically August 1, I know), I preview the upcoming Hallmark originals coming in August!

Film and TV Reviews | Finally review the bittersweet (but well made) The Space Between Us, which in my opinion is underrated! Additionally I review Viceroy’s House, a period drama with Hugh Bonneville, of Downton Abbey fame!

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.

There we go, another end and close to yet another “month in review” here at Finding Wonderland. Tell me, did you make any great new discoveries this past month?
