See All of the New Seasonal Fun to Stream on Netflix!

by

Like any of the TV Networks you can browse on your channel guide, which is full of seasonal cheer, the streaming giants don’t want to be left behind. One of these is Netflix, the popular streaming destination has their share of new seasonal offerings. There are countless guides to Netflix already out in the world, but regardless, I still want to share what’s coming! (Because I love talking about this sort of thing.) Today, I want to highlight not only the new Netflix Christmas movies, but also the seasonal romance on Netflix, just because.

TV NEWS | Hallmark Christmas Schedule: Bring all of the New Mistletoe Romance!

Over the course of the next month, popping up on your “Netflix originals” tab, you’ll spy a group of new movies, and even a limited TV series, all of which will center on the good will (and maybe even the messy side) of the seasonal cheer we all love. Whether it’s visiting “the wild” or meeting a dysfunctional family, or perhaps you’d rather see a grand castle, no matter what you like, there’s sure to be a little something for everyone!

Here’s what you can see.

Netflix Christmas Movies: See All of the New Seasonal Fun to Stream on Netflix!

1: Holiday in the Wild

This one is already available to stream, and has created some excitement because of its cast (Rob Lowe, Kristin Davis). I haven’t seen it, but it looks to be interesting. The plot follows a woman who, in the aftermath of her divorce, must rediscover herself, and of course, during this journey, she meets someone who might be her second chance at love. Available now on Netflix.

2: Let it Snow

Based on the best-selling novel by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myrycle, this story is set to follow a group of teenagers whose stories (which will break into three separate ones), presumably, intersect at some point. Available November 8th on Netflix.

3: Klaus netflix christmas movies

Not sure if this is a kids-appropriate or “adult only” film, but this animated flick follows a not-so-studious postman who, while posted to the North, discovers Santa Claus is in hiding (!!).  Klaus is being called an origin story. Available November 15th on Netflix.

4: The Knight Before Christmas

Vanessa Hudgens returns to Netflix (am I the only one who thought The Princess Switch was sweet and cute and fun?) as a science teacher who meets a knight in shining armor (literally!!) after he’s magically transported to her modern world. Available November 21st on Netflix.

5: Holiday Rush

A single father loses his DJ job just prior to Christmas, which forces him to rely on family, and maybe open his heart again to love. Available November 28th on Netflix.

6: Merry Happy Whatever (TV Series)

Dennis Quaid leads an impressive cast in this (presumably) limited seasonal “miniseries” about a dysfunctional family, who must adjust to the arrival of one daughters newest boyfriend. Ashley Tisdale also stars. Available November 28th on Netflix.

7: A Christmas Prince: the Royal Baby

Part three in the ‘Christmas Prince’ series with Ben Lamb and Rose McIver is back this year, this time as the royal couple is about to welcome their first child. Much as I love these stories and the sweet romances they tell, I do have to say, this title just doesn’t have quite the romantic ring to it as its predecessors. Available December 5th on Netflix.

Tell me, which of these have you or do you plan to hit “play” on over these final two months of 2019? Do you like to watch all the Christmas movies or aren’t they your cup of tea? Will you stream any of these Netflix Christmas movies…? Comment all the thoughts down below!

  1. Great recs, Rissi! I only just heard about Let it Snow the other day and had no idea it was a book, too. It looks cute, a little angst filled but bearable! I so seldom watch TV/Movies/Netflix that I don’t know if I’ll end up watching any of these but I’m definitely curious about this one. Also, Vanessa Hudgens in The Knight Before Christmas! Such a cute title and I haven’t seen her anywhere in ages ? Happy watching!
