Month one is “in the books” for this new year 2020. With its disappearance arrives a new month, including an entire new schedule of content from our favorite network, Hallmark. Abandoning their ‘Countdown to Valentine’s Day’ banner, the network adopts ‘Love Ever After’ for this month of programming so as not to limit themselves to new originals that precede the popular day of romance. Today, we discover the Hallmark Love Ever After schedule – oh, and in between these, the return of a beloved favorite.
LIST | 20+ of the Best Cozy Movies to Stay in With!
Like usual, familiar faces rule, but I must confess, as excited as I am for the first three premieres, I’m really excited to see the fourth on their line-up. The reasons for why we’ll get into down below. In the meantime, let’s have a look as the first two, “proper” Valentine’s Day rom-coms about to make their entrance, and in all likelihood find space on our DVRs.
Let’s take a look at what’s to come.
Hallmark Love Ever After: A February 2020 Line-Up
Please note, while I try to be as thorough as I can in regards to dates and titles, Hallmark does pull titles and/or change dates. If I find any changes, I’ll try to post them up here as an “update.” Check your local listings for specific time zone air times.
1: A Valentine’s Match – February 1
Trying to work through where her life – and career, will next take her, Natalie (played by Bethany Joy Lenz) returns home where her mother plays matchmaker between her and her ex-fiancé (Luke McFarlane).
2: Matching Hearts – February 8

Taylor Cole plays a matchmaker whose task is to pair up a businessman who believes his success is owed to staying single – and without it, he wouldn’t be where he is (we all know where this leads, right?). Ryan Paevey co-stars.
3: The Secret Ingredient – February 15

Invited to compete in an NYC baking competition, a woman (played by Erin Cahill) is surprised not only to receive this invitation, but also to run into her ex! Chesapeake Shores and familiar Hallmark leading man Brendan Penny plays the pesky (or as it will likely be, not-so-pesky) ex.
4: Love in Store – February 22
Rival home shopping hosts find they must work together when a big promotion comes up. This one makes me excited because a: it features newer faces, and b: its leading lady, Alexandra Breckenridge is Netflix’s Virgin River leading lady. Needless to say, I’m excited to see her on this network.
BONUS! When Calls the Heart – February 23
The beloved fan favorite returns with familiar characters like Rosemary and Lee, Bill, Faith, Carson, newbies, Nathan and Lucas, and of course, Elizabeth Thatcher and her young son. Are you excited for a new season?
5: Bad Date Chronicles (Tentative) – February 29
I haven’t seen anything “official” about this one making its debut on Hallmark on Leap day 2020. If it does air, this is a PiXL original that’s from 2017 with Merritt Patterson about a woman who runs a website where frustrated people can share their bad experiences on first dates. Sounds cute, right?
NEW TO HALLMARK MOVIES AND MYSTERIES
Just in case the more lighthearted romantic-comedy isn’t your thing, you might like to know, Hallmark also has a sister network that features “cozy mysteries.” This month, we see the follow up of the husband-wife (in real life) duo AND the return of 2020’s newest signature series!
1: Picture Perfect Mysteries: Dead Over Diamonds – February 16

2: Riddled with Deceit: a Martha’s Vineyard Mystery (Jesse Metcalfe) – February 23

A great month of movie releases for Hallmark! I’m excited to watch all of these, especially A Valentine’s Match and Matching Hearts. I’m also excited for the return of Carlos and Alexa Penavega in their Hallmark Movie & Mysteries series too – I’m so glad they are back!
Carlos and Alexa’s mystery series is fun, so I’m looking forward to seeing that one, and of course, even though I have favorites, I do love Hallmark’s rom-coms. :)
