Any new month always ushers in the arrival of some new Hallmark romance. This time, we celebrate their new romances not just with a new month, but a new year! This time we have five new Hallmark Winterfest romance originals to discuss.
FILM REVIEW | Is ‘Little Women’ (2019) Better than the Fan Favorites?
Like any of their seasonal program blocks, there’s many a familiar face in these five new movies, but best of all, they sound like lovely stories ideal to stay in with, while cozily snuggled up in our favorite blanket. These promise cool locales, blankets of fresh sparkling snow (which may be ideal for those of you wishing for the white stuff), and of course, lovely romance. Without further ado, I present Hallmark’s Winterfest 2020!
Let’s take a look at what’s to come.
All of the Cozy New January 2020 Hallmark Winterfest Romance
Please note, while I try to be as thorough as I can in regards to dates and titles, they are subject to change; Hallmark does pull titles and/or change dates. If I find any changes, I’ll try to post them up here as an “update.” Check your local listings for specific air times in your time zone.
1: Winter in Vail – January 4
The first in this winterfest lineup features two favorites, Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes. Lacey plays a woman who inherits a chalet, and of course, when she arrives, she meets (and falls in love with!) a handsome local.
2: Love in Winterland – January 11
Reality TV is the center of this plot about a woman who must face her ex when she’s chosen for a “hometown date” on the dating show where she appears as a finalist. Chad Michael Murray, Italia Ricci and Jack Turner co-star!
3: Love on Iceland – January 18
Tells the story of a woman who brings together a group of her college friends for a trip to Iceland, only trouble is, one of the group ends up being her ex! Awkward, right…? (But then again, this IS Hallmark, so we know we’ll love it!)
4: Amazing Winter Romance – January 20
A successful reporter returns to her small hometown where she reunites with a childhood sweetheart who now runs a winter wonderland “maze.” Jessy Schram (A Royal New Year’s Eve) returns to Hallmark in this adventurous new romantic-comedy!
5: Hearts of Winter – January 25
An interior designer is hired to redecorate the home of a single father, and of course, in the process, she finds a love she wasn’t expecting. Jill Wagner and Victor Webster (A Harvest Wedding) re-team for this one.
NEW TO HALLMARK MOVIES AND MYSTERIES
Just in case the more lighthearted romantic-comedy isn’t your thing, you might like to know, Hallmark also has a sister network that features “cozy mysteries.” This month, we see the return of an old favorite (!!), a new installment of a new viewer favorite AND the debut of an entirely new series!
- 1: Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver (Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott) – January 5
- 2: A Beautiful Place to Die, a Martha’s Vineyard Mystery (Jesse Metcalfe) – January 12
- 3: Roux the Day, a Gourmet Detective Mystery (Dylan Neal, Brooke Burns) – January 19
