Month in Review: February 2020 Updates, News + More

by

Well. Here we go, we’re nearing a new season and are even closer to that dreaded “skip ahead” time jump. (Who else thinks this is annoying?) Welcome, readers. The first of a new month comes to Finding Wonderland with the usual:  another installment of ‘Month in Review February 2020.’

Back during the holiday season, I made a commitment (mostly because I had so many seasonal rom-coms I wanted to cover) to publish something new every day, and I did for quite some time. In this New Year, I am keeping up with this trend, but we shall see how long this lasts. As I ask each “month in review,” do make sure to share some of your favorite discoveries in the comments – or what you’re looking for from bloggers; is there a topic, trend, niche or anything goes you’re looking to see more of?

Ciao, February 2020. Bonjour, March 2020!

Let’s do this!!

Month in Review February 2020 Recap + #Booktube Talk

Monthly Chat; news, favorite posts, and all that jazz.

1: Book Alert! | Ok, guys, I read the upcoming novel What I Like About You (due in stores this April), and ohmygosh! It’s so cute. It’s like a bookworm and/or book bloggers dream work of fiction and I am 110% here for more books like this.

2: Booktube & Change | I wrote a little about some changes here, and also posted up a video on change on Finding Wonderland’s booktube channel. Basically I talk about the lack of time and equipment, and all that jazz, which means there won’t be as many videos. What are your best tips or advice on using booktube?

3: Leap Year! | It’s leap year, which really means nothing to me with exception to noticing it moves all of the notable holidays one day further than they ordinarily would be, but most of all, it means I have a legit reason (but do I really need one?) to watch the adorable rom-com Leap Year. Do you have any tradition?

4: Lists | As I mentioned last month in review, I’ve been very into creating lists. I used to do this off and on over these many years I’ve been blogging, but it’s been more recently that I’ve really enjoyed it all the more. Tell me, what kinds of lists – or blog content in general, are you most looking for?

5: Making the Old “New” | I have a ton of old posts and reviews that desperately need format updates, but more importantly, they NEED SEO add ins. So, I’ve been off and on working through some of these, and recently have decided perhaps I’ll either discard old posts (like tags, giveaways, etc.), update some and leave them with their original publication date or re-publish them with the updates. So far I’ve done this for three reviews (which has been fun and also cringe-y), and am wondering, WordPress experts, what’s YOUR advice?

»Around the Interwebs« what else am I writing?

Silver Petticoat | Taking a look back at my month in review on Silver Petticoat.

Silver Petticoat is still on something of a hiatus just now, but they are back in some small capacity! This month I was able to contribute two new pieces.

Articles and Lists | Because it’s finally here, we feature When Calls the Heart this month with a new little “what’s to come” look at this season seven (and some thoughts on the premiere, too!).

Film and TV Reviews | Nothing is cuter than Netflix romantic-comedies like To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Like You, so naturally I had to gush in a new review.

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.

Another month comes to its close, and with it another Finding Wonderland “wrap up.” Tell me, did you discover any AMAZING new books? Bloggers? Booktubers? Bookstagram accounts? I’d love to “meet” these new accounts and the people behind them if so. Tell me about them or the books you’ve read… or anything goes.

Thank you for visiting Finding Wonderland

please excuse the “disorder.” you can read more about Finding Wonderland’s changes, new follow options and why archive posts are a mess in my “Disorder + Feedback” post!
