Welcome back, happy readers. The fourth month of 2020 has come and gone, along with some of those April showers. Spring is here in earnest, and so we turn our attention to those expected May flowers. The first of a new month comes to Finding Wonderland with the usual: another installment of ‘Month in Review: April 2020.’
We’re still publishing lots of new content around here, which I’m still excited about. But as I ask each “month in review,” do make sure to share some of your favorite discoveries in the comments – or what you’re looking for from bloggers; is there a topic, trend, niche or anything goes you’re looking to see more of?
Ciao, April 2020. Bonjour, May 2020!
Let’s do this!!

1: [NEW] Book Alert! | I have a copy of The Life and (Medieval) Times of Kit Sweetley, and while I cannot recommend it – yet! – I can tell you that I cannot wait to crack the pages of this one. It sounds and looks like ridiculously good fun.

3: SPRING! | As I say above, spring is finally here in earnest, and you can smell it in the air. Whether it’s the fresh cut grass or the scent of spring showers in the air (as has been the case this week!), it feels so much more spring-y.
4: Walking | With the return of nice spring weather, I’ve been trying to be really disciplined and take a walk (as I had been up until it got quite cold) or on the days I don’t, to do a 30-minute workout (which I don’t have a clue how to do properly). I’m not going to lie, I detest exercise and am wondering why do I bother!!

(Blog posts that, while not necessarily the most popular, were fun to write)
1: ‘13 Going on 30’ is “Sweet Sixteen” and Just as Fun! | I randomly wrote up this review when I saw this one celebrated an anniversary this month. Needless to say, it was rough having to re-watch this one in pursuit of writing a proper review. *wink*

2: ‘Beauty and the Beast’: The Fairytale Romance You Haven’t Seen | This one is (at this time) on Amazon Prime and though it has some flaws, it’s also really quite interesting.
3: Faces of a Fairytale Romance: This is the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ One | I’ve been really enjoying writing posts on various different adaptations of popular stories or literary classics. My latest “victim” is the Beauty and the Beast fable.

4: Matching Up 10 Good Novels with Romance Movies | I love writing things like this, and want to continue to write more like it, but I’m curious, what would you like to see? If you’d like to have a shout-out in any list, let me know via email, and I’d be glad to email you ideas of lists I have so you can contribute!
5: Some of the Best Period Drama on Amazon Prime | I mean, who doesn’t love a good period drama!?
I feel like April was a good month for the topics and things I wrote about, there is a lot I enjoyed. More of these include the popular teen rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You; CBS’ fun TV show Blood & Treasure; the Netflix original The English Game; I reflect on the end of Hawaii Five-0; talk about the most popular adaptations of Persuasion; the YA novel What I Like About You; and lots more!
