A New Month in Review: June 2020

by

Hey there, happy readers. Welcome back. The sixth month of 2020 is come and gone. July is set to begin with HEAT and HUMITIY which is not a combo I’m fond of unlike peanut butter and chocolate. Regardless the first of a new month comes to Finding Wonderland with the usual:  another installment of ‘Month in Review June 2020.’

LIST | Some of the Best Independence Day Movies to Enjoy

We’re still publishing lots of new content around here, which I’m still excited about. But as I ask each “month in review,” do make sure to share some of your favorite discoveries in the comments – or what you’re looking for from bloggers; is there a topic, trend, niche or anything goes you’re looking to see more of?

Ciao, June 2020. Bonjour, July 2020!

Let’s do this!!

1: [NEW] Book Alert! | Haven’t had the chance to read it yet, but Dani Pettrey’s second Coast Guard novel The Curshing Depths is in the world, and we’re ready for it, right?

2: Lists | I created quite a few lists over this past month including favorite TV/Movie Fathers, Father’s Day movies (in a loose sense) and perfect for Fourth of July, some Independence Day movies to enjoy!

Silver Petticoat Update, Edition One

3: Popular List! | Speaking of lists, one thing I’ve learned as I put together these wrap up publications, everyone seems to search for and/or like a “clean romance” movie list. This list seems to constantly make the cut. Reminds me, I need to get to work on the updated “part 2” [wholesome] clean romance movie list. And it is coming! What are some of your favorites that would fit these parameters?

(Blog posts that, while not necessarily the most popular, were fun to write)

1: 20 of the Happytime Summer Movies to Enjoy! | Because who doesn’t love a fun summer-y movie?

2: About Family, Love and Life: ‘About Time’ Film Review | I’m so surprised by how well I did enjoy this R-rated film. Rachel McAdams co-stars in this, a story about a man who can travel into the past, but if he changes events, it changes his own family.

3: ‘High Noon’: A Romance Suspense Adaptation | Re-watched this one in June, and despite still needing to watch two of the Nora Roberts adaptations, this one is by far, my favorite of the bunch. It helps that its negotiator heroine reminds me of a favorite novel, appropriately titled, The Negotiator.

2020 TV Ships

4: This is How I Rank the Best CBS TV Dramas | I enjoyed creating this despite it being an unusual post for this space. What other “Ranking” posts would you like to see?

5: Some of the Best Independence Day Movies to Enjoy | Because I enjoy creating these so much – despite the extra work, and also wanted to create a list with a variety to suit different tastes and styles, and of course, genre, too. Have you seen any of these?

6: Some of the Best On-Screen Friendships | I mean some of these are all the feels and just too good not to feature.

⇉ THROWBACK FAVORITES | aka the section in which we take a peek at what I was writing about or posting this time last year.
