No longer can I pretend the glorious shades of autumn remain. At least this is true if the gauge is the Hallmark Channel network. According to my calendar it still is, so I’ll just be over here, clinging to that. (Winter begone!) Back on topic, today we take a look at the slate that is the Hallmark November 2020 schedule, which is exclusively all in for the Christmas season.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘Deliver by Christmas’: The Kind of Old-Fashioned Romance We Love
The premieres are overflowing with new movies every weekend on both nights, and of course this is the network’s month of famous Thanksgiving week-long of premieres. Because there’s a lot to get through, let’s just jump right into the upcoming November 2020 Hallmark romance movies set to debut.
Hallmark November 2020 Schedule
Hallmark does sometimes alter their schedule. While I do make every effort to be accurate of the dates of these premieres, sometimes things shift which will change or remove some titles from their lineup. I will try and keep up to date on any changes, and if I catch any, I will make note of it here. Check local listings for specific times.
On the 12th Date of Christmas
When: Sunday, November 1
STORY: Mallory Janson (from Young and Hungry, and also Shooter) co-stars with Tyler Hynes in this original about two game designers who find themselves at odds. Sounds super fun, right?
Thoughts: Love that this one features one of my favorite leading men, and a new-to-Hallmark face. Hoping this one is as fun as it sounds.
Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater
When: Saturday, November 7
STORY: Based on a novel, this one has an extremely fun title, and really, add in Niall Matter as its presumed Christmas-sweater-wearing-hero and I’m all in! You’ll also see Ashley Williams as co-star.
Christmas with the Darlings
When: Sunday, November 8
STORY: Katrina Law (known for Arrow but also Snow Bride)returns as a woman about to change jobs, only to end up helping her former bosses younger brother. Stars: Katrina Law (“Arrow”) and Carlo Marks (“Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday”). Note: this does contain a subtle LGBTQ storyline
Christmas in Vienna
When: Saturday, November 14
STORY: Yet another of Hallmark’s musical plots (first is Chateau Christmas), this time we meet a violinist who finds “inspiration.” Stars: Sarah Drew (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Brennan Elliott (“Crossword Mysteries”)
A Timeless Christmas
When: Sunday, November 15
STORY: For me, this may be a new all-time favorite. It’s set to feature Ryan Paevey (who, let’s be real, is ideal for these old-fashioned kind of swoony heroes) as a man who travels from the 1900s where he finds his mansion is now home to historic tours! Erin Cahill (“Love, Fall & Order”) will co-star.
A Nashville Christmas Carol
When: Saturday, November 21
STORY: Though not my “cup of tea” (as it’s a kind of re-telling of the classic Dickens tale), this will be about a woman who works as a producer of an upcoming country Christmas special, and the childhood sweetheart who re-enters her life. Stars: Jessy Schram (“Country at Heart”), Wes Brown (“Christmas at Graceland”) with appearances by Wynonna Judd, Sara Evans, RaeLynn, Kix Brooks, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
The Christmas House
When: Sunday, November 22
STORY: Features two brothers returning home for Christmas, and the challenges each have in their life. Note: this will feature an LGBTQ plot for those interested in knowing
Heart of the Holidays
When: Monday, November 23
Thoughts: Rumors suggest Corey Servier and Vanessa Lengies will be the co-stars in this, which would then also be directed by Servier, but as yet, we don’t officially know this.
A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado
When: Tuesday, November 24
STORY: A woman planning a Christmas celebration must convince someone of its merits (someone who happens to be a handsome fireman!). Stars: Rochelle Aytes (“Mistresses”) and Mark Taylor (“Memories of Christmas”). Note: This one will feature an LGBTQ plot for those interested in knowing
Good Morning Christmas!
When: Wednesday, November 25
STORY: Previously known as A Bright and Merry Christmas, this will be about Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas’ competing TV hosts, which should play well as a kind of fun kind of hate-to-love plot.
Christmas by Starlight
When: Friday, November 26
STORY: Fan favorite Nine Lives of Christmas co-stars Kimberley Sustad and Paul Campbell play in another love-to-hate trope about two people on opposing sides of a demolition argument.
Five Star Christmas
When: Thursday, November 27
When: Saturday, November 28
STORY: More reunited co-stars! This one re-pairs Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp in a romance that sounds a bit more, emotional? In the aftermath of a woman’s cancelled wedding, she finds love again through dance. Also, this is just one of two Christmas movies you’ll see Chabert in this year.
If I Only Had Christmas
When: Sunday, November 29
STORY: It’s going to be so fun to see Warren Christie from The Most Wonderful Time of Year return to Hallmark. Alongside Candace Cameron Bure, who plays a publicist opposite Christie’s “cynical” business owner. Of course, these two will, inevitably have to work together.
