Features | A List of 15 Favorite Comic Book Heroes in Film and Television
Hello, everyone! So blogging here, and in general is quiet lately. Combine this with my procrastination to write the reviews (I’ve seen some awesome stuff lately) add in the fact that I am just now trying to get back in the swing of review book reading (which will result in LOTS of book reviews), and well, things go quiet. Regardless, today I’m sharing with you my fan-girly “Top List” from yesterday’s Silver Petticoat contribution. Why? Because, um, it’s all about the awesomeness of superheroes.
Plus we all know ‘Age of Ultron‘ is making a splash in theaters, and it only makes sense to talk about the epicness of this pop culture phenomenon. Really, give me even the smallest of excuse and I’m there, ready, willing and able to talk about the Avengers or DC Comics.
There are many favorite comic book heroes that could have a place on this list, but as it’s not possible to include them all, I share 15. This is either because they’re just plain cool, have a moral sense of right vs. wrong or are that all-American cute that makes it impossible to dislike them. I’d love to hear about your favorite superheroes! Share who’d make your list or any other fun Avenger or DC Comic fangirl thoughts you have.
Rissi’s Top 15 Favorite Comic Book Heroes in Film and Television
The world of comic book heroes has become a pop culture craze we cannot seem to shake(not that I mind). The most familiar comic book franchises are produced from DC Comics and Marvel. The former is taking our small screens by storm with four popular television franchises and more in the works, and the latter is dominating the box office. Anyone who is a comic book aficionado will know all of these characters, however, to celebrate the recent release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, I thought it’d be fun to take a look at some favorite heroes. Bonus question: while we’re on the subject of superheroes, is everyone else as excited as I am to learn that Martin Freeman (our very own favorite Dr. Watson) will co-star in Captain America: Civil War!? Also to return will be Emily VanCamp’s Agent 13, who I hope will have a chance to explore more of Sharon Carter’s personality and spunk. Thoughts!?
I loved all of your picks on Silver Petticoat. Seriously so fun! Omg, I had no idea Martin Freeman was joining Civil War!! So exciting I love him!!! Also super happy for Agent 13's return- Emily VanCamp has been another favorite since watching Revenge. :) After seeing Age of Ultron, I'm especially curious to see what happens next with SHIELD and Steve and Tony. Thanks for sharing all this Marvel epic-ness, Rissi! ;)
Thanks for visiting/reading, Bekah. I had fun putting the list together…
Yay for Martin Freeman and of course Emily VanCamp in 'Civil War.' I love the idea of seeing Martin in a Marvel world (plus Benedict is starring in Dr. Strange if I'm not mistaken). I'm excited about 'Ultron' whenever I see it, but no matter when, it'll be well worth the wait. Glad you liked it… and thanks for commenting. :)
