Party Like it’s 1776! Happy Independence Day 2019
On this day in 1776, a small group of colonies (thirteen to be exact) formed to become the United States of America. In those days, I suspect none of our Founding Fathers could imagine or anticipate what they’d helped build would shift over time into what we know today in our modern era. Good and bad, happy and emotional, we are still flying those red, white and blue colors of the U S of A, and I’m a proud American who still recognizes that what the Founding Fathers came together to create was a very good thing. Here we are, decades later, ready to celebrate this country day; Independence Day 2019!

As we gather with friends, family and those we love, whether that be staying home (homebody here!) to enjoy a low-key day or travelling across the country, enjoy the sparkling brightness of a firework display or attend a picnic with delicious food, let us remember our that day in 1776. I proudly support the military and our flag; and what it represents including the privilege of freedom.
