‘AGATHA RAISIN: A SPOONFUL OF POISON’ SERIES FOUR EPISODE THREE

Acorn has two (two part 45-minute) installments left to release in their fourth series of this show. This, Agatha Raisin A Spoonful of Poison is one of them and today, it’s available on Acorn. The story this time around finds Agatha (Ashley Jenson) accompanying Roy (Matthew Silver) to a jam competition. This also happens to be one of Roy’s most recent jobs in PR which is to re-brand the competition. Of course, because no outing is complete without the whole gang, Charlie (Jason Merrells) and James (Jamie Glover) are celebrity judges; while Toni (Jodie Tyack) and Bill (Matt McCooey) are supposed to be having a quiet date with quality time.

During the competition there’s a murder that seems quite unusual in that the victim has no connection strong enough for anyone to want her dead. Thus Agatha has a new case, quite ironically, this time brought to her by Detective Inspector Wilkes (Jason Barnet) who seems to want to help her investigate. agatha raisin a spoonful of poison

Like anything, this is another winner from Acorn TV. This Agatha Raisin series four episode three addition is good. We love all the reunions of our favorite crime fighters and you may even see a new familiar face. In this, Agatha wears more brightly colored ensembles; there’s trouble in paradise for some; James and Charlie find themselves victims of a hallucinogen; and James has a secret?

Like anything I review from this company, I do like this latest in this series. It’s funny and does slow down enough to give us context and emotional moments between characters. There’s not much more to say except that the crime soloing adventures are still madcap and fun. It’s all kinds of good TV and of course, the accents are the best.

Content: there’s nothing much to mention except for implied sex (between two different couples) in a kind of “one night stand” type scenario. There’s a sexual joke about a woman giving a man an aphrodisiac. Perhaps one or two mild profanities and British slang like “sh*g”. The show is TV-14.

Sincere thanks to Acorn TV for the screening opportunity. I’m grateful. All opinions are my own.
