Creative and studious, Hannah (Ella Bright) is the quintessential good girl. But her her strengths don’t extend to being good at relationships or dates. he wants to change this and has a crush on one of her classmates at Briar University. She excels at songwriting and her grades but knowing how to flirt or be sexy is something she is not good at. This inspires her to seek out one of the hockey team’s best bad boy athletes, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli).
The pair of them form a business pact. Hannah will help Garrett better his grades, and he will, in turn, help her gain confidence in dating and well, sex, too. But when this opposites attract faux couple end up catching feelings, this complicates everything.
One of THE most popular shows to get shout-outs and publicity, season one of Off Campus is finally here. The show is inspired by the novels from Elle Kennedy and is the first of four novels which will, presumably, all be adapted across four seasons. The second season has already been ordered and based on this first season format, the seasons will follow a different couple, always with one of the pairings being on the hockey team.

A show that feels very trendy, based on other pop culture happenings, I have no doubt that this one will also find its audience. There are some sweet moments in Off Campus season one, but honestly, this one isn’t going to be a show that will suit me. The opening is really cute and clever. I love the quieter moments of friendships and yes, even the scenes that are sure to show a softer side in the bond between Hannah and Garrett, but I don’t think this will outweigh the overemphasis on other topics.
The cast is really good, and I enjoyed meeting mostly new faces. If you like sports dramas that lean heavily into the soap drama genre, then you will likely find this interesting.

Content: This one has eight episodes, all of which have released as a binge drop and is rated TV-MA. I only watched two episodes, but based on those, the show is very adult and really leans into its older audience of characters being college age. There are lots of conversations about sex and different things about having sex. The opening episode shows a full backside shot of a nude guy (a girl admires him). Other scenes have barely avoided nudity. One character undresses a woman and they make out before having sex (its an intercut scene with movement and nudity). (We see a full upper body shot of her nude lying in bed.) There is lots of caressing and touching and kissing and other things or conversation about being turned on.
One episode is even titled “The Orgasm,” so yeah, we know there will be plenty of sex things. There are character’s who like the same-sex (if this bothers you). Themes deal with rape.There is profanity including the f-word. Note; this information only reflects episodes one and two of Off Campus season one.
