Taking us to Australia, Aussie at Heart is another sweet movie from Hallmark.
Aussie at Heart (2026) TV Film Review
A successful businesswoman Samara Hughes (Rhiannon Fish) is a former lawyer who traded paperwork for parties as a successful event planner. Her latest job is working on an anniversary party for the parents of her best friend, clients who are going to put on this event in Queensland. Thing is, what Samara isn’t ready to deal with is a former rival co-worker.
Nate (Daniel Lissing) used to work with Samara and now he finds himself working with her again as they try to work out logistics and plan the most perfect anniversary. Trouble is, their past may be hiding more than either of them realize.

One of the movies we are used to seeing this leading lady in is movies that have stunning outdoor scenery. This film is full of gorgeous Australian shots because reportedly the film did film in Australia. It also helps that leading man Daniel Lissing is from Australia, too. Most movies he doesn’t keep his accent and yet this film seems the ideal opportunity for the script to call for this, so that stays intact.
Cute and full of good times, Aussie at Heart is another title easy to recommend. Does it have a flaw or two? Sure. But I can also happily say, contrary to my first impression assumption, this is easily my favorite of the three Hallmark 25 program block. It’s such fun and the cast, like so many others on the network, are familiar faces which I am sure always brings in the loyal viewers.
Stream, at publication, Aussie at Heart next-day on Hallmark+. Catch the premiere of this film tonight, August 15

Hmm so he swapped law for event planning too, I guess
In this case, no. He is helping out his family in their business but these career changes brings them together again on a job/project where they have to work together. :)
I really enjoy movies that are set in Australia. This looks like a fun one. I’m adding this to my TBW list! Thanks, Rissi!
Fun! Hope you enjoy, Alison. :)
