‘HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN: A BEARS LOVE STORY’: NEW ADDITION IN THE POPULAR SERIES

The third film in the partnership between Hallmark and the NFL, Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story brings the same kind of cute energy as the first two.

Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story (2026) TV Film Review

Travelling to Chicago is supposed to be about reconnecting with her mom, and relaxing before Avery Clark (Lyndsy Fonseca) picks up a new assignment. However, she ends up with a feel-good story. The assignment centers on an avid Chicago Bears fan (Marsha Mason) about to attend her 500th game!

The only problem with this assignment, aside from it messing with her downtime, is that she knows nothing about the game. This brings her to Matt (Robert Buckley), a firefighter who is as big a fan as his grandmother.

This, like its peers, is another charming little movie for Hallmark. The only odd thing is that we’re seeing it on the first weekend; historically the football films are “tentpoles,” which are always later date reservations. In some ways I think it’s smart to debut this one now since football is seasonally relevant just now. In other ways, one wonders why the network opted to switch things up.

Beyond the funny technical questions that ultimately don’t matter, this is a charming addition to this series. I don’t know that I can say I have a favorite among the Holiday Touchdown movies. Each one has something I like and in A Bears Love Story, I do like the cast.  The energy of these is always high and while this one seems to throw back, a bit, to the first film (A Chiefs Love Story), it’s still cute. The intensions are always good in these and this collab is a dream if you’re as much a rom-com fan as you are a sports girl.

If you enjoyed the first two flicks in this series, don’t miss A Bears Love Story. The cameos pile up, and while they missed one thing (at least I think so), everything is still delightfully entertaining. In my estimation, it is another touchdown worth a front row seat.

Catch the premiere of Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story October 17th only on Hallmark; or stream exclusively next-day on Hallmark+
