3 Festive Reasons Why you Should Watch ‘Two Turtle Doves’

For the second weekend in a row, the Hallmark Channel (and its sister network, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries) will debut more of their 2019 romances. The next in this line up arrives from the latter network. The next one is a festive romance, and today I plan to share three reasons why you should watch Two Turtle Doves.

First, let me tell you just a little bit about the story. Nikki DeLoach plays Sharon, a woman who returns home for Christmas to celebrate the season with her cousin. It also marks the first time Sharon has been back since the death of her grandmother, and seen the house Sharon now has ownership of. While home, Sharon meets her next door neighbor, Sam, a single father raising his daughter with the assistance of his little brother.

The usual festive fun ensues and of course, so does the promise of a new romance.

Here are three reasons why you should watch Two Turtle Doves.

1: Festive

Same as is true of any seasonal flick, the festive factor is off the charts. Between seasonal décor and the activities (skating, tree lighting), there’s no shortage of twinkle lights.

2: Romance

Like any of the Christmas movies on this network, the romance here is really cute. What makes it more so is the cast Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady, who reunite from the Hallmark romance Love to the Rescue. Because of the talent or “ease” of these actors, the romance is made all the sweeter, and though the time frame still can work against it, the story feels more genuine because it’s in good hands.

3: Sass

I love the fun sass of Sharon’s personality. We see this fully at one point while she’s fighting with a giant snowman (it works for the story, trust me), and in the process, she’s a little too independent.
