Made for You, With Love (2019) UPtv Film Review
Being a part of what brings a bride joy on her wedding day is what keeps Made for You, With Love going. But things have to change. Amanda Hughes (Edy Ganem) receives a notice that her rent is about to go up, and with few resources to make up the extra money. This is where James (Brendon Zub) enters her life. A wedding photographer, James’ latest partnership is with a widely read magazine, but their hesitation in offering him the partnership is his photos. They’re good, but they lack warmth.
This inspires him to try and strike up a friendship with the resistant Amanda, and with that, also a business proposition.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘THE DATING LIST’: A FRESH TAKE ON THE ROM COM
True of anything that I’ve seen from UPtv, this is another entertaining and humorous title that makes you smile. There’s a new leading lady, and though I’ve seen Brendon in other titles, he’s not as familiar, so anytime new faces enter the picture, I feel like it’s fun! Such is the truth of this title. Edy and Brendon are cute together, and it’s fun to see Matreya Scarrwener (from Imaginary Mary) in a supporting role as well.
The fun of the film is in the cute montage scenes of Amanda working on remaking dresses and weepy brides. It adds lots of laughter and makes for a cheerful story. There is a minor subplot that I thought would steer the film in a more dire direction, but fortunately, it doesn’t. Like anything, at its heart, this is simply a good, clean and sweet film. Anyone who enjoys the genre will find in this another entertaining title to sit down and discover.
