AN INDIE BOOK SPOTLIGHT: ‘THE 80S ROM-COM CLUB’

When it comes to Indie fiction, it’s been a bit of a journey for me. The kind where I never used to read any (for no real reason) until I read some by authors like Amy Matayo or Bell Renshaw. Both wrote emotional and adorable, respectively, fiction that I was super impressed with. Because of this, if it’s the right kind of Indie novel, I find I enjoy one now and then. One of the more recent independent novels to release is a collaboration of authors that I think seems fun and thus we look at a The 80s Rom-Com Club spotlight of said book!

Co-written by six authors, this set features six different stories and any of the synopses you’ll read seems to suggest that there’s tons of fun in these novella stories. And really, who doesn’t love fun in their fiction? I know this girl does. Add in some colorful splashes of cute romance, and I’m here for it. I’ve read a few novels by Bell Renshaw, and let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed her novels. She writes with heart and charm and just in general, all kinds of sweetness. I also read Betsy St. Amant’s Tacos for Two, which is something that might make you want a yummy taco!
