IT’S INDEPENDENCE DAY!
It’s a repeat situation again as we are midway through the year, and at a place where summer days feel like they’re waning. That’s right, it’s July fourth, and so we want to wish you a happy Independence Day 2023. We have arrived. It’s the quintessential summer weekend of the whole year. If I had to guess, I’d say most of us had our big celebratory fun smashed between Saturday and Sunday since on this July fourth, technically tonight is a school night. Either way, we are here… it’s the Fourth of July.
Same as goes for each year we post up wishes for a great day. Always hoping your day is full of happiness, laughter and maybe even a good burger, too. No matter your favorite tradition in celebrating, the best memories we take, every single time, is the the good laughs we have. In recent years, there’s a lot of negativity that many social media posts spout about the U.S. of A, but that’s not my vibe. Never has been.

I’m proud of the red, white and blue and have flags. Is there problems? Yes. But I’m not going to follow the trends or boycott of America. There’s still good here even with the disappointments. There’s kind of this trend going on recently, and in 2023, it still holds: only in America is it trendy to vocally trash your country.
This may be an excuse to wear sparkly things or go to a parade or have cool nail art on this, America’s birthday, but it’s also celebrating the principles this country was founded on. There’s goodness in that and no matter what you wish different or want different, that ideal is something to be proud of.
I hope you all have enjoyed a wonderful and colorful Independence Day celebrating with American pride and joy, all while, as Paulette would say, looking like the Fourth of July.
