10+ BOOKS CELEBRATING THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE

Each year we get to curate a list featuring some of the books on our shelves that feature that red, white and blue coloring. Of course, additionally, this can and does also extend to those in other countries since our weekly book list extends beyond just the U.S. of A. Still, for me, this means the sparkling shades of the American flag and the chance to feature these 15 celebratory red, white, and blue book covers. Because, yes, I did go a bit overboard in the searching of my bookshelf.

Let’s see how overboard we went and spotlight our red, white and blue book covers… at least they are on the outside. Inside, they may be a different story.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE BOOK COVERS

ALL THE STARS IN THE SKY: THE SANTA FE TRAIL DIARY OF FLORRIE MACK

Back in the day I used to read quite a few of the Dear America books. They, along with American Girl and later Janette Oke, were the majority of my reading. Goodreads

ELIZABETH 1: RED ROSE OF THE HOUSE OF TUDOR

A throwback to my childhood reading. This is one from years ago, and yes, I still have it like the first on the list, on one of my bookshelves. Goodreads

THE FINAL GAMBIT, JENNIFER LYNN BARNES

I haven’t read a single book in this series yet, but they sure do interest me and sound like they could be fun mystery reads. Goodreads

THE ONE, KIERA CASS

Like a few others on this list, I’m sure this is one book I have included all the time. It’s a cover with all white so we must include it! Goodreads

YOURS IS THE NIGHT, AMANDA DYKES

I continue to hear great things about Amanda’s novels, and I hope to read more by her in the future. This cover while sporting a bit more of a deep teal shading, immediately stands out to me as a good fit. Goodreads

WHOSE WAVES THESE ARE, AMANDA DYKES

This is the only novel by Amanda I’ve read and while it’s written in a style that isn’t my normal favorite (don’t ask me to remember what the styling is), I did enjoy it while I was reading. Goodreads

ONCE UPON A PRINCE, RACHEL HAUCK

These new cover redesigns of the romantic comedy series by Rachel makes for an ideal fit here. Plus, the story inside is fun, too. Goodreads

TRUE DEVOTION, DEE HENDERSON

Pretty sure I include this book or series every year. Who knows, maybe I include all of these since I didn’t go look at last year’s list. But this one just seems the perfect fit. Goodreads

GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD, HOLLY JACKSON

Like Jennifer’s book, this is another one I’m curious about. It seems like it’d be an interesting read and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard good things about the series. Goodreads

THE LONDON RESTORATION, RACHEL MCMILLAN

It’s the red hat that got this one its place. Plus the story sounds really interesting. Goodreads

AMERICAN ROYALS, KATHERINE MCPHEE

This is another one I’m pretty sure I always include. It’s just something that seems ideal for this week’s list. However, if you’ve read any of Katherine’s prior novels, we know this one probably has some drama! Goodreads

HERO’S BRIDE, JANE PEART

Another throwback read for me. I read these books years ago and received them from an aunt after the passing of her daughter. They have inscriptions inside them too, and even though none of them are meaningful to me, the books remain on my shelf because they were my cousin’s. Goodreads

THE DEADLY SHALLOWS, DANI PETTREY

These books are always good reads, and the cover of book three is a nice fit. It has the “truest” blue shading. Goodreads

THE MAID, NITA PROSE

I’ve featured this one several times and I heard it’s an interesting read. Goodreads

    1. Thanks, Cheryl! Hope we both enjoy The Maid. :) Glad your daughter loved The One, too. I have to read it yet, but I did enjoy the first two books as fun novels.

  1. I enjoyed A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder (the first book in that series) but I haven’t read Good Girl, Bad Blood yet-or rather I started it but picked it up in the midst of a reading slump and haven’t got back to it yet! It’s nice to see such a variety of books in these colours in the posts so far.

    1. So glad to know this, Jo. It’s definitely one I’m quite curious about. Now I just need to pick up book one and discover what it’s all about. Hopefully I’ll find a good cover. And for sure! Love a good variety. :)

  2. The London Restoration is such a good book. I loved it! And I’ve heard amazing things about all of Dykes novels but have not yet read them. One day… Anyway, great cover choices today!

    1. I’m so pleased to know Rachel’s is a good read. I really enjoyed her detective Sherlock-type series so I’m curious to read more by her. And I loved Amanda’s first novel. Hope you too enjoy if you read it! :)
