‘HOLIDAY HOTLINE’ HITS ALL THE HIGHS OF A CHRISTMAS ROMANCE
Likely one of the final Christmas movies I’ll see from the 2023 premieres, Holiday Hotline is a solid addition.
Holiday Hotline (2023) TV Film Review
Advancing her career isn’t going well for Abby (Emily Tennant). Adding insult to injury, someone else is putting their name to her specialties as a chef. She’s had enough. She quits and ends up taking a trip from her home in London to Chicago. There, she meets Jack (Niall Matter), an architect restoring the apartment building where Abby stays. Though the pair gets off to a rocky start, they form a tentative friendship.
Talked into working for a holiday hotline, Abby also connects with a caller who is a single father, which forces her to decide what she wants to do next.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘THE PERFECT PAIRING’: A WINTER ROMANCE OF SECOND CHANCES
‘HOLIDAY HOTLINE’ HITS ALL THE HIGHS OF A CHRISTMAS ROMANCE. #NiallMatter stars in this 2023 #Hallmark romance. #ChristmasMovies #Christmas Share on XThis film is a charming, easy to enjoy Christmas flick. Plus, what makes it better is a cast that is quite good. I always like Niall’s movies or those that immediately come to mind I enjoy. Speaking of this one specifically, Niall and Emily are fun together. The script is mostly good, giving them some banter even with the film lacking the usual scenes placing the characters together.
Speaking of screen time, because of the plot, how this production is put together is well done. I really like how they film this; it adds warmth and more intimacy to put the characters together in the scene even though they aren’t supposed to be. Worth noting, too is this story does have more of an emotional bent because of the backstory. I also like the gentle way these two approach their “liking” of each other, and the infomercial style dance adds some comic flair.
Since I saw almost no one talking about this one, I don’t think this is a title many fans consider a favorite. It is for me. There’s a little bit of everything in Holiday Hotline, no matter what you’re looking for, and of course, it all ties together with a Christmas bow.

Content: Holiday Hotline is TV-G, and has nothing outside of the normal kisses. There is also a lying theme if that bothers you.
