‘HOME FOR A ROYAL HEART’: A LOVE STORY DEVELOPS BY THE SEA

A film made by several smaller production companies, like the formerly known as Reel One Entertainment company, well known to those of us who watch these cute rom-comes, Home for a Royal Heart will give you the normal feels.

Home for a Royal Heart (2022) TV Film Review

Passionate about her small town, Erin (Brittany Bristow) lives and works in the town where she grew up. As a real estate agent, she also helps her community by trying to keep the town alive by selling people their dream homes. Her next possible client walks through her door looking for the right fit. A British accent and impeccable manners in tow, in walks Theo (Dan Jeannotte), a man who is looking for some privacy, and also keeping quiet who he really is.

This film is one of those that has debuted various different places and goes by more than one name. Currently it’s streaming a few places, and did air on network TV as A Royal Seaside Romance on Great American Family. Using royalty as its “big” trope, the film is very familiar in how it unfolds and the curiosity of a stranger arriving in this warm and friendly small town. What’s more, the film casts familiar faces in the lead co-star roles.

Dan Jeannotte is no stranger to playing royalty (in fact, catch the network debut of Love on the Danube: A Royal Getaway on Hallmark), and Brittany Bristow is known for her roles in the Love Club movies to Christmas flicks airing on Hallmark Channel. So, yes, this is another nice and ideal role for Bristow. There’s a lot of enthusiasm that makes up a lot of her character’s personality, and the usual silliness plays out from broken fish statues to a meet-cute involving a seafood sandwich.

Short story is, once again, if you enjoy the blueprint that is the simple cute romantic comedy, Home for a Royal Heart is, once again, a lovely film to discover. Just know you will see it making the rounds under more than one name!

Stream, at publication, on Plex, Pure Flix or Tubi; you can also find the film on Hoopla.

Content: Nothing to note. This one is a “standard” TV-G rating that doesn’t take anything beyond the typical kiss or two.
