Zoey Caldwell worked hard to save money for this trip. She isn’t like her friend Lana with unlimited resources and a fabulous wardrobe. Instead, she had to scrape together the funds for this trip. When Graham and Zoey meet, it’s under less-than-ideal circumstances, and yet, there is something about Zoey that may cause Graham to break one or two of his rules.

REVIEW: On my shelf, likely since 2020, The Tourist Attraction is something I intended to read a long time ago. I was more interested in reading it after seeing it many times on lists where readers had good things to say. Sarah is an author I didn’t know prior to reading this novel, but there’s reason for that since this is her debut novel.

The book is quite entertaining. There’s an unusual meeting between the characters, and more so is the follow-up between them. From there, there’s attraction and outings together. The plot is one of those that present us with characters we can like. The blurbs also talk about how grumpy Graham is, and while I do see there are elements of this, honestly, I don’t find him “grumpy.” He’s quick to flirt and does join in social situations, even if it is sometimes begrudgingly.

Regardless, I think the characters are fun. I like that Zoey is someone many of us can relate to easily and that she’s determined to have fun regardless of circumstance.
