‘THE DANCING DETECTIVE: A DEADLY TANGO’: FAVORITE SCREEN DUO IN ONE FUN DANCE MYSTERY
One of the standalone mysteries from Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, now Hallmark Mystery (which is perhaps the more popular route), The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango is a title that I have zero doubt charmed fans when it made its debut.

Dedicated and wise in her job, Detective Constance Bailey (Lacey Chabert) knows how to work a case that earns results. She does this alone and isn’t someone used to working with a partner. When a wealthy CEO is murdered in Malta, Bailey’s CO sends her undercover to compete in a dance competition that the high level company execs are all going to be a part of.
Thing is, for this job, Bailey needs a partner with, Sebastian Moore (Will Kemp), a former competitive dancer who is quite different than Bailey.

A mystery that has, so far, only earned one installment, I have not a doubt that when this made its way to our TV screens, it was one that audiences love. This because this isn’t the first time these lead Hallmark actors have paired together. They, of course, appear in The Christmas Waltz, a popular film for the Hallmark Channel.
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango is more of the same only this time there is a mystery of course. The story isn’t terribly clever (meaning we can guess the outcome) but that’s a causality of the genre. These TV mysteries are usually simple because they maintain an air of coziness rather than any kind of “hardened” thriller. Although, there is a scooter chase scene!
If you enjoy this type of mystery, then this is a title you’ll enjoy.

Content: nothing much to note. We do see a man pass out, which we realize is him dying. We do see the body, but it’s not graphic. There is some peril, but it’s all pretty harmless and just for building tension.
