‘A MEMORY IN MY HEART’: SEE JANE SEYMOUR IN THIS EMOTIONAL 90S TV DRAMA

One of those films I watched years ago and recently re-watch, A Memory in my Heart is a standard TV mystery that pulls on some emotional strings.

A Memory in my Heart (1999) TV Film Review

Horrific haunting memories cause waking nightmares for Rebecca Black (Jane Seymour). These dreams continue to haunt her even in her present life… which is otherwise good. She’s married to a good man (A Martinez) and they’re trying to have a child.

The mystery of the terrible scar on her head, and the reason why she has nearly no memories bothers her. She needs to know why, which is why she works tirelessly to find the young children in a photo she had, which is her only real clue.

‘A MEMORY IN MY HEART’: SEE JANE SEYMOUR IN THIS EMOTIONAL 90S TV DRAMA. A TV drama about being lost and found.

This is one of those so-so TV mysteries that probably aired on network TV (cursory checks say CBS). While I don’t remember the “how” of seeing this, I know that finding A Memory in my Heart on streaming recently isn’t the first time I saw the film. Initially the reason for watching this would have been Jane Seymour starring and my mom who enjoys mystery stories.

This film is nothing unique or special in its genre, however it does tug on the heart because we find Rebecca a compelling heroine and someone we want only the best for. Additionally in the cast is David Kieth, Bruce Davison and a young Mika Boorem, which means that the cast is surprisingly good.

If you like this type of film, the TV mystery production, then A Memory in my Heart is interesting, plus it has a happy end which not all peers manage.

Stream, at publication, on Tubi

Content: There are some implications and flashbacks of abuse. We see someone hit another person, leaving a terrible injury. There is other emotional “abuse” and upheaval because there is restriction on someone seeing people they love.
