For period drama aficionados there may be no more exiting feature release than Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. The film is dropping soon, and is being marketed as the final in the trio of films (first in 2019 and then 2022) to wrap up the story that began with six seasons airing stateside on Masterpiece PBS. Like we have with several other anniversaries or “big” pop culture drop this year, let’s again mark this occasion with this, a Downton Abbey giveaway.
LIST | A ‘DOWNTON ABBEY’ CHARACTER GUIDE: INTRODUCING THE CRAWLEY FAMILY
This show follows the “old class” and upper crust Crawley family as the “upstairs” stories and then the downstairs staff running (and often times also feeling quite at home in these walls) Downton Abbey. The films then expand on this same world following the family as they enter new centuries and have to, accordingly, adjust in changing times. The stories take these characters through peaks and valleys, and this final film promises to be a bittersweet and disappointing film in that it’s time to say goodbye. It also promises to be nostalgic and hopefully, bring a smile, too. Let’s see what you can win in this “inspired by” the global phenomenon!

I absolutely love the Downton Abbey series! I’ve seen all of it and all of the movies to date. I can’t wait for the Grand Finale movie to come out! I’ll be sad to see it come to a final end.
I’ve enjoyed the show SO much through the years, too, Alison. It’ll be sad to watch this finale BUT everything does have to end so I’m glad that this franchise gets the time to wrap things whereas some shows just end without resolution. :)
I’ve seen some of the Downton Abby shows but not all of them. They’re really good to watch and bingeworthy.
