‘THE CHICKEN SISTERS,’ SEASON TWO FIRST IMPRESSION: THE GIRLS ARE BACK WITH MORE FEUDS!
Back to Merinac we go, everyone! This time, on The Chicken Sisters season two debut, there is less feuding… right?
The Chicken Sisters, Season Two (2025) Hallmark TV Show Review
Time and understanding helps to heal the broken bond between sisters Amanda (Schuyler Fisk) and Mae (Genevieve Angelson); and the respective cracks in their relationship with their mother Gus (Wendie Malick). They unite now after a familial restaurant feud. With them is Nancy (Lea Thompson), the woman Amanda considers more mother than in-law. In spite or her divorce from Nancy’s son, the four of them unite in their businesses as The Chicken Sisters and are excitedly making plans for Mae’s upcoming wedding.
Then things change. The Kitchen Clash show, which they filmed while feuding, airs and reopens wounds (old and new ones) they all thought past.

This is one of those shows that I think “fits” well with the programing Hallmark aims to curate, but it really isn’t a show I like (well). Sure, it has the family dynamics of Chesapeake Shores and the small-town kind of “feel” of Ride, but it doesn’t “hook” me in the way other of their shows have. It also seems to have its basis in feuding which can be fun, but how long is this sustainable? An original for Hallmark+, the first season of The Chicken Sisters made its debut on Hallmark Channel before season two was made exclusively for the network with next day streaming promotion.
Outside of the main cast, this also has a host of familiar faces in the supporting cast including Rukiya Bernard and Jake Foy, plus there is Cassandra Sawtell playing Amanda’s daughter. Everyone is good and Fisk and Angelson do look enough alike to be real-life sisters, which is always a nice addition to have in casting. Even some of the people made to be the “bad guys” return (or will) for some episodes in season two, and the promise for new characters is here too.
If you liked season one, I have a sense you will want to see The Chicken Sisters season two. Only thing is, if you thought all the drama of season one might wash away, well, wrong we are. It’s still here and if there is one thing this debut of season two makes crystal clear, it still needs some hashing out!

Stream, at publication, The Chicken Sisters season two (and season one), next day on Hallmark+
Content: this seems to set up into the same type of content as season one. There is some minor innuendo and of course most of the same characters show up which means more of the same teasing of what-could-be-relationships does crop up. A couple about to marry (presumably) live together if this bothers you. The show has the same TVPG rating as season one.
