‘NCIS: SYDNEY, SEASON THREE: FIRST THOUGHTS ON THIS TEAM’S RETURN
From the NCIS universe comes season three of NCIS: Sydney, the show chronicling the exploits of the international team. In the season three opener we work with the team as they learn that two U.S. Navy aviators are found in the Cora Sea. As this well-oiled team investigates, they learn that this isn’t just an ordinary case, but it also has possible terrorist consequences.
The team meanwhile is also going through some personal crisis’. There is Bluebird “Blue” Gleeson (Mavournee Hazel), a capable and smart forensic scientist whose darker past is just catching up with her. Worrying about her is Pathologist Dr Roy Penrose (William McInnes) who often works with Blue as they encounter complicated cases. Constable Evie Cooper (Tuuli Narkle) continues to enjoy a strong partnership with her U.S. partner DeShawn Jackson (Sean Sagar), an NCIS special agent, only for change to possibly change their bond.
Then there is NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann), a woman whose recent emotional trauma may forever change the relationship she has with her partner Sergeant JD Dempsey (Todd Lasance).

What did you this of the #CBS premiere? #TVShow #Drama Share on XPart of the expansion (albeit one that is three seasons “old” now) of NCIS, this was a drama that my anticipation was quite high for. It’s also a drama I did thoroughly enjoy. The show, as anticipated, was worth the watch plus is something quite entertaining to watch for its hour runtime.
The cast, while newcomers in my viewer library, has grand talent and I like how they work together. The comingling (aka culture clash) of the U.S. and Aussie characters make things even more fun; as the show goes on, I do think the writers are diving more into the personal lives. This said, I think the show is still keeping it more about the cases and I’d be lying if I said this isn’t preferable. These cases keep the adrenaline rush moving forward and the start to season three is no different.
Fans of this franchise will find NCIS: Sydney season three another winning start to a new season from a show that may have begun humbly, but 100% deserves its place in this universe.
