‘A CASTLE OF OUR OWN’: SUMMER TRIP INSPIRES NEW CONNECTIONS
Bringing back a fan favorite Hallmark star after a personal sabbatical from acting, A Castle of Our Own is a very summer-y title that gives its leads a second chance at finding love.
A Castle of our Own (2026) Hallmark TV Film Review
Building her career has been the recent focus of architect Marley (Erica Cerra). She is appreciated at work but also given more projects because of her ethics and talent than is perhaps fair. Her overwrought life challenges her relationship with her teen daughter but taking a trip to the beach where a sandcastle contest awaits them may just be the change she needs to reconnect with her beloved daughter.
While on this summer trip, Marley meets Adam (Brennan Elliott), a contractor who may have some sage words of wisdom about reconnecting with Lily (Sarah Sheehan).
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘THE LOVE HEIST’ IS STYLISH HALLMARK ROMANCE
‘A CASTLE OF OUR OWN’: SUMMER TRIP INSPIRES NEW CONNECTIONS. Review of the 2026 #Hallmark title with #BrennanElliott. #ACastleofourOwn Share on XThis title is full of pretty beachy scenes that fit nicely with the themes of summertime and the movie, too. The daylit beach scenes are welcome in a world of films that are consistently observed as devoid of color. Another thing sure to delight fans is seeing Brennan Elliott back in the leading man role; a favorite actor with fans since his co-lead role with Lacey Chabert in All of My Heart.
While not my favorite in the Hallmark lineup of Summer Nights titles, I think A Castle of our Own certainly fits well not just because of branding but also fitting with what you love about the network. It has familiar cues and faces, and is about to delight anyone looking for a sweet movie.
Stream, at publication aka next-day, A Castle of our Own on Hallmark+. Catch the debut of the film tonight only on Hallmark Channel

Content: Like always, this one doesn’t deserve anything being called out. It’s very much the typical TV-G movie you will find on Hallmark.
