‘I LOVE TROUBLE’: A FUN ADVENTURE OF MISCHIEF
From the mid 90s, I Love Trouble is really quite cute, and is one I’ve only seen once.
I Love Trouble (1994) Film Review
Working for rival newspapers sends two reporters to the terrible scene of a train wreck. The renowned Peter Brackett (Nick Nolte) has had a renewed sense of fame after releasing a fiction novel. Then there is Sabrina Peterson (Julia Roberts). A transplant to Chicago, Sabrina is good at her job and contrary to the rivalry that begins between the two, she isn’t the inexperienced reporter Peter claims.
The pair begin battling for the bigger headlines on the story, little realizing that this crash is at the center of a bigger story.
FILM REVIEW | ‘THE SAINT’: A STRANGE MOVIE ABOUT A ROAMING CON MAN
‘I LOVE TROUBLE’: A FUN ADVENTURE OF MISCHIEF. See #JuliaRoberts in 90s comedy and adventure flick! Share on XA film from the 90s, this is a title from the same era as some of my most favorite films, however, it’s not one that rates quite as high with viewers. The concept is really fun despite this, and the usual bickering makes this entertaining. It’s also a film that, most likely takes inspiration from the classics like His Girl Friday. This is also a film co-written by Nancy Meyers, so you know there is familiar flair.

A sense of adventure is also present in this, and it’s a good time. Cute and fast-paced, the film also has some laughs and of course, there is some fun banter to go with all of this. Additionally, it’s nice to see Julia Roberts in something new that I hadn’t yet seen her in. It’s rare to see a new film with a star whose filmography I’ve seen so much of, so being able to discover new titles with favorite stars is fun. If you like films that sends its stars on adventures, well, I Love Trouble like its title stirs up not just enough trouble to make everything fun.

Content: this film does have some innuendo and there are some suggestive moments (a woman watches a man get into the shower, backside nudity). There is lots of kissing. Some profanity crops up (minor) and there is some violence which includes guns. The film rates PG.
