‘A Summer Romance’: Find Comfort in the Country Life
As the final days of summer descend, there are still a few summertime romances we can enjoy. One of which invites us to the country in A Summer Romance. In this we meet the driven, but good hearted businessman Richard Belmont (Ryan Paevey). Determined to make a deal in which he purchases a sprawling Montana ranch that’s under financial strain, he travels to the country to convince its owner his company has a good deal on the table.
Sam Walker, the owner, isn’t exactly who Richard thought he’d be. You see Sam (Erin Krakow) is actually a she with an upbringing that equips her with the knowledge on how to work a ranch, but the mountain of debt she inherits with the property makes things difficult. Still, with an idea and maybe some help from a New York businessman, Sam may just have what it takes to keep her family’s legacy intact.
A Summer Romance (2019) Hallmark Review
Each and every time I film a video or write a review with this network as the topic, I feel as if I “copy and paste” everything I say or experienced about the last film I watched from it. However, though this may sound uncomplimentary, I mean it as nothing but a good thing. I appreciate this network so very much, and how it keeps in line with its traditions of wholesome, clean romance.
Because of this, there is always, a sense of old-fashioned charm that no one else quite matches. This story is darling in too many ways to count. The countryside scenery is beautiful, and offers many a breathtaking viewpoint. There are plenty of outdoor scenes for anyone who isn’t into stories set in an office building, and of course, as this is a ranch, there’s a trail ride or two.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘A Taste of Summer’: Good Food is the Start of New Romance
Don't miss #Hallmark's charming 'country #romance' with #ErinKrakow, ‘A Summer Romance’: Find Comfort in the Country Life Share on XThose of you who watch all of the originals from this network (including its sister stations) will recognize Sarah Strange and Kevin O’Grady from a mystery franchise; you’ll see a POstable (the Signed, Sealed, Delivered fan-base); and of course, Hearties will know Ava Grace Copper and leading lady Erin Krakow from the fan favorite When Calls the Heart. Erin is lovely (as always) in the leading lady role, and I really like the chance to see Ryan again step into the leading man shoes, which he fills well.
There’s some great heart-to-heart dialogue in this one, fun (all done with great witty banter) “nickname” humor, and I really appreciate that this story, like so many of the Hallmark scripts, ends with more of a beginning. It feels so much more genuine given the time frame of the story. If you’re looking for a sweet romance to enjoy during a night in, make space on your DVR. They don’t come in better than this charmer.

I miss having access to the Hallmark channel. I used to love watching the sweet wholesome romances! I think that’s probably what fueled my hopeless romantic heart and unrealistic expectations? Haha this sounds like a really cute movie!
It’s adorable, Dini! Hope if you ever have the chance to see it, you find it as you remember Hallmark’s productions. :)
