With his friends living their happily ever after, heading to Italy feels very natural and healthy for Jackson (Tyler Hynes). His daughter Betty (Chloe Raphael) lives there and being closer to her is a priority, even if it’s only to stay with her while her mother leaves on an extended business trip. Nothing else matters. Then, he discovers his life is missing the one thing he wasn’t looking for. His daughter then meddles by trying to matchmake him with Gabriella (Elena Rusconi), a pretty local who owns a café.

It’s a series of films that likely sees inception because of the female led The Bridal Veil movies. Those, like these, were about three friends, only it has two trilogies. While I also like the leading lady from ‘First Look,’ I didn’t make time to see it and instead settled for watching the film featuring a Hallmark leading man favorite. Tyler Hynes is frequently in titles I enjoy watching and this year I liked him in Hallmark’s popular Christmas flick Holiday Touchdown. He’s the same type of character in The Groomsmen: last Dance, and I loved seeing him play opposite a leading lady I haven’t seen in anything else.
The story is sweet and is as much about building familial bonds as it is about a love story. There’s lots of color and pretty scenes as well as pretty dresses and fashion. If you enjoyed The Wedding Veil movies or you like any of the actors in the version for the guys, then you’ll likely enjoy The Groomsmen: Last Dance.
