The Perfect Christmas by Bell Renshaw | Book Review
STORY | Ansley has been away from Winter Montana for an expected length of time. Still, after her art program in Canada ends, she returns home, hopeful she can pick up where she left off.
Beau Garrett has lived in Winter all his life, and he’s happy… or he thinks he is. A new business opportunity may mean he’ll have to change some things about his otherwise orderly life. The return of his girlfriend, Ansley, also feels more like a distraction than excitement.
When Ansley begins to feel something is amiss in the relationship, she makes plans to arrange the perfect Christmas (the best ever!), all with Beau in mind.
REVIEW | There’s a sweet and charming little story inside these short novella length pages. We return to Winter Montana for another seasonal reading experience in indie author Bell Renshaw’s cute romantic-comedies. This one has more adorable romantic moments, and while it’s introspective and unusual when compared to its peers, I like that Ansley and Beau are already in a relationship, and have a love story that extends beyond these pages.
This love story might not be the most conventional, but it is, nonetheless still lovely. Ansley and Beau’s story draws us in, and speaking for me personally, I know I never wanted anything more than for them to work through what holds them back, respectively and jointly; personally and professionally. Their story is fraught with a bit of angst, but it also is about the ebb and flow that is their love story.
If you like to curl up on the couch, and enjoy a cozy Hallmark-esque story, The Perfect Christmas is precisely the right read. There’s plenty of Christmas cheer that deflects some of the bittersweet emotional landmines, and a romance you’ll find quite perfect.‘The Perfect Christmas’: A Sweet Seasonal #Romance.
