THE SUMMER OF YES BOOK REVIEW
REVIEW: The latest feel good and cute book from inspirational author Courtney Walsh, The Summer of Yes is mostly a really good time read. It’s one any reader who wants good reading should happily say yes to. The book is, mostly a good time, but there is a more serious side that I quite didn’t expect… especially since the book markets as such a cheerful read.
BOOK REVIEW | ‘TEN RULES FOR FAKING IT’: A ROMANTIC COMEDY ABOUT TRYING NEW THINGS
‘THE SUMMER OF YES’ IS INDEED A SUMMERTIME NOVEL TO SAY “YES” TO! Review of the 2024 #CourtneyWalsh novel. #Fiction #BookReview Share on XIrrespective of any of this, I love the concept of this novel. It’s all about doing things and making time for simple things over the pursuit of things that hurt humans or tear them down in the pursuit of a “title” or prestige. The messaging is good and of course, almost any kind of reader will be drawn in by the cover art.
Predictable in its loveliness, The Summer of Yes is a solid read to enjoy in these final summer days. The characters are fun and I admire Kelsey making change in her life and living out that change. It may take longer to warm to Georgina, but in the end we do have a kind of love for her. Cheerful with plenty of joyful moments, you won’t regret picking up this summertime read.
