UPtv’s ‘Mistletoe Magic’ is Fun as it Sounds!
Christmas movies reside everywhere (from cable networks to streaming), which means it’s not difficult to find them. The trouble comes in when it comes to finding time to watch as many as you can and most important, to discern which are the favorites. Mistletoe Magic is from UPtv and is quite cute.
Mistletoe Magic (2019) UPtv Film Review
Christmas is something Harper Hardt (Jessica Sipos) says “Bah Humbug!” to. Ever since losing a beloved grandmother as a child, she’s put festivities behind her. Working as a meteorologist, Harper finds herself drawn into Christmas cheer when her sister wants their family’s famed and magical mistletoe for her engagement; a decoration Harper used the year before.
This begins an unexpected adventure to find the mistletoe that has been mistakenly donated, and a reunion with Luke (Stephen Huzar) a face from Harper’s past.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘Meet Me at Christmas’ is a Sweet Romance, but Not a Favorite
UPtv's ‘Mistletoe Magic’ is Fun as it Sounds! A review of the Jessica Sipos Christmas rom-com. #ChristmasMovies #Christmas #Movies Share on XAs a rule I don’t tend to watch the UPtv premieres, at least not religiously. There’s really no reason for this other than I often have plenty of TV originals to watch, discover and enjoy. This is one I kind of “had” to make time for because it features Sarah aka Jessica Sipos from Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores. Jessica is again lots of fun, as one might imagine, in this role and it’s nice to see her with a new leading man. She has an almost mischievous attitude in her acting and again, this makes it fun. This is perhaps the best role I’ve seen Huzar in, though I must say, I cannot take him seriously when his over-festive choice of sweaters is on full display!
The script or plot of the film isn’t the best. It’s cute, sure, but for me, it doesn’t work as well as others I’ve seen. There is a sense of “magic” because of what the characters do, and of course, the “adventure” of the story is fun. Throughout they meet various different characters that don’t have a large role, but do have a cute part in the story..
When Mistletoe Magic wraps its conclusion, alls well that ends well, as is usual of this genre. There are smiles to see everywhere and when it comes to the overview of a Christmas movie, is there anything else we could want?
Content: this one is, as most are, a “clean” romantic-comedy.
