Dear readers and friends,
Merry Christmas day 2020! We’re here, it’s Christmas day, and so for the majority (or all) of us, this wonderful busy season is behind us. The hustle and bustle of the days of shopping and wrapping gifts is come and gone as is the anticipation of the season. Now, what’s left is the task of a good meal and clearing away all of the sparkle of the leftover wrapping paper.
On this Christmas day 2020, I hope everyone is enjoying the season and the spirit of the day.
I hope your day includes family and good food; movies and popcorn; gifts and (most fun!) giving; laughter and stories; memories and much joy. Whatever the day holds, I hope it’s one of new memories and good times, and we find joy in the quiet (or if it’s your thing, the loud!) of our day.
My Christmas Day will be all about a quiet day with good food, maybe a pie (depends on if I make it!), a little work (because I am not the type of person who can lay about all day), and of course, a Christmas flick (or two!). Tomorrow we see family, which I know will be our usual loud (how is this true when we’re not that many?) multiple-conversations-at-once kind of event.
May we reflect, remember and rejoice in the Reason for the Season.
