ON THIS DAY 10 YEARS LATER: CELEBRATE ‘THOR’ + A QUIZ!

Films set in the MCU world have been a pretty bit part of my adult life. I’m not sure when the love affair with them began or specifically which film I first saw, but do know I’ve seen most or very nearly all of them. On this day, we celebrate Thor ten years later + a quiz.

One of the things I do know is I did love watching the film and meeting the Asgard celestial god. Thor is the immortal consistently locked in a battle with his half brother Loki (am I the only person who doesn’t like this dude?). A little bit conceited and perhaps not ready to take the throne from his father, Thor is unexpectedly banished to Earth. While there, he must adjust to learning a new world and his mishaps in trying to navigate it. Fortunately, he meets Jane, a scientist who is there to rescue him.

Impossible as it is to believe, it’s been ten years since we met Thor as a part of the MCU world and even in all that time, I’m still pretty fond of the Asgardian dude. Even if he is a little bit full of himself (at the start). Also, guys, I re-watched this film for the first time (possibly ever) and it’s still good. Today as we look back on Thor, we’re testing our knowledge of Thor and his world with a little quiz. So invite others to join, press start and have some fun! Best of luck!

All the Marvel movies are so good, and Thor is one of my favorite Avengers!

I also love Thor! He’s just such a fun character and I think, overall, his story/movies have the best balance of serious and funny. :)

I LOVE the Marvel movies, especially Thor! This movie is sooo good! I have to say that I honestly was very sad that in the final movie, Endgame, I hated that they turned Thor into a beer binging Pillsbury dough boy that renounced his throne. It just seemed like they robbed him of the great character he was. Alas, I will choose to remember his as the great and mighty Thor in this original movie!!

I love Thor too! I’ve seen your thoughts that he’s become so very un-Thor like in later films and I don’t disagree. That’s a very accurate description. But I loved his last single outing film and hoping to discover some “old Marvel” feels in the next Marvel film (and a better Thor, too!). I really don’t like what I’m reading about more recent Marvel films, so I’m not super optimistic, but we’ll see…!
