‘AGATHA RAISIN: KISSING CHRISTMAS GOODBYE’ IS MORE COZY MYSTERY FUN!
When a favorite series puts out a special related to the season, one has to sit up, pay attention and make a way to see said special. Such is the truth of this Agatha Raisin: Kissing Christmas Goodbye installment. Something that is maybe the start of a few more episodes.

‘AGATHA RAISIN: KISSING CHRISTMAS GOODBYE’ IS MORE COZY MYSTERY FUN! #AGATHARAISIN #ACORNTV #BRITISHTV #COZYMYSTERY #MYSTERY Share on XThis is one Acorn TV series I’ve liked from the start. There’s far too few episodes per season but on the other hand, as I like to say, if that’s what it takes to put out great stories and content, I’m cool with this. Speaking of great, I don’t think this installment is a series best, but it’s still good nonetheless. There’s the return of most familiar faces, more shenanigans (I mean, can Agatha not not get into trouble?) and very little (*sad face*) romance.
Ashley Jensen’s Agatha Raisin continues to get up to trouble and this mystery is no different. She gets herself in more than one pickle, but the script, as always, seems to manage this all through laughter. Many of the physical gags involve elements related to Christmas and it makes things more colorful and fun (there’s even a turkey brandished as a weapon). Beyond this, it’s lovely to see all of the familiar faces including most of the gang as well as DC Bill Wong (Matt McCooey) who is always fun and I hope as much a fan favorite for others as he is to me. agatha raising kissing christmas goodbye
If you enjoy British mysteries or any of the other Agatha Raisin installments, you won’t wish to miss this Christmas addition. It’s cute and full of good cheer even on the occasion when Agatha grumbles as she is prone to do now and again!

Content: nothing much to note although there is more than one sex-related joke/innuendo, nothing is terrible. One character is homosexual but if that bothers you, nothing comes of it here. The show would be TV-14.
Sincere thanks to Acorn TV for the screening opportunity; all opinions are my own.
