TO EVERYONE WHO SERVED: SINCERE GRATITUDE.

by

Every year on Memorial Day, it feels kind of like the one, at a minimum, required day to reflect and appreciate the reasons America enjoys and even has to uphold our freedoms. While I like to believe for most of us Memorial Day isn’t some burdensome day to remember this or a task to honor, most of us probably enjoy the day without that framework and instead have a good time on the lake or just relaxing on a day off. While none of this is wrong, I also hope we take time to pause, reflect and remember those who served on this Memorial Day.

A big part of the reason we can enjoy the freedoms we have is all thanks to those who step up, serve and honorably fight to keep those intact while also striving to serve and protect their home, America. I’m undeniably grateful to everyone who served and stepped by. You are the heroes. You are the ones we remember and gratefully honor today.

Without your wiliness to step up and serve, without your ability to do that, without your sacrifice, we wouldn’t be able to share these sentiments. We wouldn’t be able to fly the stars and stripes high and proud. Our religion wouldn’t be free to choose. Countless things we simply assume is free, today, wouldn’t be protected.

Words are never enough, but… thank you.

I’m grateful for each selfless act, the sacrifice and the way every person once stood up up to preserve this great country and the freedoms it affords each and every one of us. Thank you.

To everyone serving, your service is seen. We thank you for carrying on the legacy of those who went before you.

Wishing you all a happy Memorial Day as we strive to remember all of those who fought for the freedom to enjoy this day. I’m always grateful… thank you.
