HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 2021!

There’s all kinds of reasons to love the holidays that help to define this nation or have moral pinnings. On this Independence Day 2021, I’m grateful for many things even with the things that worry or disappoint me. Today I’m grateful for what we celebrate and if you choose, this includes all Americans.

I’m just grateful that on this day, many years ago, there were people, from George Washington and John Adams, to Betsy Ross and Abigail Adams, who had wisdom and foresight to know the principles of what this country should be founded on; things and morals that would help to build a stronger nation. I’m grateful to them. Today I’m grateful not just for that, but that I can fly the flag, proudly. I have all sorts of flags around outside, and it makes me happy. It reminds me what these stars and stripes represent; what this country’s founding is. Little things like putting on a red, cropped USA tee and a red lip is also making me happy because, again, it’s a reminder of my why for celebrating this day.

I’m going to leave off with some song lyrics, but before I do, I’d like to wish you the happiest Independence day. I hope you enjoy this day of celebrating with whatever kind of fun you love best, but also ponder and remember why we have this special day. Thank you for being here, and I look forward to another week of new content and chatting with you all.

That I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
