‘JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE’: A CUTE STORY ABOUT BEATING THE ODDS
When you run across something, randomly, that seems like it may be a fun time, most of the time it deserves a second look. This applies to Jerry and Marge Go Large, a Paramount+ film that is (maybe) based on a true story.
Jerry and Marge Go Large (2022) Film Review
Waking to start his day every day pre-dawn and working hard for his entire life, Jerry Selbee (Bryan Cranston) must now retire. The company he’s worked for since high school is phasing out his line prompting this chance which is something he thinks sounds quite unremarkable. When his family gifts him a fishing boat, Jerry gives that a shot only to find it ends badly. Good with numbers, but not people, Jerry finds there’s a mathematical possibility to beat the odds in a lottery game. This allows him to win, but do so without telling anyone, including his wife, Marge (Annette Bening).
When she catches on, they discover they now have a “thing,” and something that may allow them to help their small community.
FILM REVIEW | ‘THE VALET’: A CUTE BUT MOSTLY MEDIOCRE COMEDY FOR HULU
‘JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE’: A CUTE STORY ABOUT BEATING THE ODDS #Movies #FunnyMovies #ComedyMovies #Movies #JerryandMarge #MovieReview #MovieReviews #Comedy Share on XOne of the movies to premiere with the Paramount+ streaming, I decided to give it a chance. The film has some good talent and is based on a true story. Many will probably enjoy the cast given Cranston was in Breaking Bad (not something I’ve seen) and of course, Annette Bening has countless titles to her name. Then you’ll also see Rainn Wilson from The Office; Jake McDorman; and Anna Camp in a small role from Pitch Perfect. Everyone is good in their roles, and the film curates this kind of community that has a sense of belief in each other and that alone is a nice message. jerry and marge go large
Outside of just the cast, the film banks on that sense of inspiration and presents the audience with a kind of underdog story, which we love to cheer on. This script gives us that and just a fun story that is sure to make you smile. It has lots of fun moments and just a good connection among its characters, but with its audience too. You connect with these people in the sense of liking the goodness of the story and the morals someone like Jerry has. Then there’s the heartwarming scenes, that while rare, are good between father and son. jerry and marge go large
If you enjoy stories that have morals and seem to care about the characters, then this fun flick is a lovely watch.

Content: Jerry and Marge Go Large is PG-13 for some minor innuendo (a woman implies it’s been years since she had sex but is thinking about it). There’s an implication a couple does have sex. There may be a minor profanity here and there.
