FILM REVIEW | ‘A PERFECT PAIRING’ (2022) REVIEW: NETFLIX COMEDY TRAVELS TO AUSTRALIA

It’s time to seek some pop culture-y stories to collect below because, let’s be real, sometimes they either feel too silly or simply, from my perspective, are super uninteresting. Either way, to keep with the weekly tradition, we still have to see what we can find. I’m not sure what this week will reveal but if it follows past week’s, it may be slim. Let’s find out – and whatever the result, we have to run with it.

In their next live, live-action (part animation) musical adaptation ABC will air is Beauty and the Beast. Jon M. Chu will executive produce the production that will air on the network on December 15. Craig Erwich, in statement said, in part that this will be a “must see special event for fans of the original.” Casting information isn’t available now since I don’t think there’s a cast yet. Who would you cast?

Hulu debuted its romantic comedy series Maggie. I watched two episodes, and honestly, it’s pretty cute (early impression). Have you given it a chance?

Hallmark announced (at least for now) their first Countdown to Christmas title which is Jolly Good Christmas. It will air on October 22, again as of now, and will likely mark the first 2022 debut. Previous Hallmark star Will Kemp will pair up with Royal Pains star Reshma Shetty in a story about an American architect moving to London to pursue a career opportunity where he meets a professional gift shopper (which he desperately needs).

A Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon film has been bought by Amazon. Described at a “wedding comedy,” no plot detail is currently known about the film. If I had to say, I’d guess this one will be a very adult comedy.

A recent interview with former Heroes and Nashville star Hayden Panettiere reveals the star has a secret addiction to alcohol and pills. She says, in the interview, that she was offered “happy pills” at fifteen. Not sure how the star is doing now, but at hope the 30-something is happy and doing much better.

Kim Kardashian recently spoke about the “extreme lengths” she goes to in pursuit of beauty in a conversation about the various things she has had done to keep up a “youthful” appearance. In pursuit of this, she claims she has laser treatments and “attainable” things. She also claims she hasn’t had “invasive” surgery. Whether it’s true or not, who knows! It’s just always sad that women in Hollywood chase things, like perfection, that aren’t attainable. No matter how much we have done, most of us will want more.

Are there any Poldark fans here? If so, you may like to hear Eleanor Tomlinson has been cast in the upcoming Netflix (series) adaptation of One Day. Previously, a feature film adaptation had Anne Hathaway opposite Jim Sturgess. In those roles for Netflix, the characters of Emma and Dexter feature Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall this time.

Have you seen any of these stories? What is your thoughts on them? Do they annoy, make you laugh, or inspire you? Does any one bit of news make you excited? Let’s hear all the comments in this comment section. Do share.
