Hey, hey, we’re doing something we haven’t in a long time. That is to celebrate book cover reveals that social media has been sharing and re-sharing. Many of these have been out there for a long time, but you know, sometimes it’s okay to re-celebrate them. Plus, let’s be real, you guys know I’d love to know what your thoughts are.

LIST | TOP OF THE CLASS: 16 FUNNY MOVIES (MOSTLY) SET IN HIGH SCHOOL

Below is a collection of differing genres. There’s Christian contemporary, young adult and maybe a tiny bit of dystopian fairytale – is this a genre? (Probably not, but that’s what I’m calling it.) There’s lots of color and LOTS of the same illustrative trends. Let’s jump into these bookish artwork covers.

Note: many of these are secular fiction and aren’t all books I think sound like books I’d read. Those are marked with an asterisk. That said, I do think these covers are darling and fun and pretty. So that’s what we’re mostly focusing on.

A THOUSAND HEARTBEATS*, KIERA CASS

Coming December 2022

This one was a highly hyped reveal, and is by an author who doesn’t usually feature with her publishing peers other reveals. It’s usually one of those that kind of reveals by itself. The plot follows a Princess and a soldier, both who have lived vastly different lives. Goodreads

THE WORDS WE LOST, NICOLE DEESE

Coming April 2023

I love the pretty autumn-y colors and that beautiful teal background. Plus look at those cute books, too! Our heroine here is an acquisitions editor who must look at her past again, complete with heartbreak, when her best friend passes away. Goodreads

FAMOUS FOR A LIVING*, MELISSA FERGUSON

Coming May 2023

Melissa’s book, like others I read about recently, follows a social media influencer, and I’m HERE for it. This is such a “happening” topic right now and while I don’t agree with the world, it’s still popular and many think it’s great so reading how an author (and one who’s REALLY talented at growing her social media), portrays it. HAPPY PLACE, EMILY HENRY

Coming April 2023

I’m finding that Emily Henry’s style and plots aren’t “me reads,” however I do think her cover designs and often the titles, are SUPER cute and fun and eye-catching. Her 2023 novel is no different. This time she’ll write about a group of friends going through various things in life, all while being there for each other through ups and downs. Goodreads

This is an author I haven’t read anything by, but if you liked the Hallmark film My Secret Valentine (which has Lacey Chabert), this sounds like it has shades of that. Follows two people who, though roommates, keep missing each other and so they leave notes. Sounds cute, right? Amazon | Goodreads

THE BACHELOR’S BARGAIN, CATHERINE PALMER

Coming May 2023 (re-issue)

It’s been YEARS since I read anything by Catherine Palmer. However, this is a re-issue of Catherine’s 2011 novel complete with a cover refresh. With its refresh, it’s being kind of likened to Netflix’s latest regency romance drama, this is a marriage of convenience story. Goodreads

BETLITTED WOMEN, AMANDA SELLET

Coming November 2022

A loose re-telling of Little Women, I LOVE the colors of this one. It just looks like a sweet and fun read. Whether it is, remains to be seen. Goodreads

A GUIDE TO BE JUST FRIENDS*, SOPHIE SULLIVAN

Coming January 2023

I haven’t read anything by Sophie yet, but hear her books are super fun and cute. This cover is not only cute, but features a couple who have an unexpected “meet cute” and decide they have what it takes to have a good friendship giving each of them the companionship they didn’t know they needed. DO I KNOW YOU?, EMILY WIBBERLEY AND AUSTIN SIEGEMUND-BROKA

Coming January 2023

Tells the story of a couple on a trip during their five-year anniversary. Though unhappy in their marriage, when they’re mistaken as two singles and introduced, they decide to play up being strangers hoping it’ll remind them why they fell in love. Goodreads

Pretty coral pink colors here! We love it. This one follows a girl who, under lots of school and social pressures, looks forward to ONE thing each year: the family vacation that allows her a break from it all. This year though, everything may be different. Goodreads
