POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION FORTY-SEVEN
IS THE WESTERN MAKING A COMEBACK?
Post 1883 and some of the more modern “westerns,” Amazon Prime is joining the western genre. Described as a six-part series premiering in November, this is “19th Century drama” called The English. Emily Blunt will star in this, which is called a rare series regular role for her, and I think that’s true. Most of her roles are films.
MORE STILL SWEET TV ROMANCE COMING
Joining the TV romance game is Fox Nation. They’ll debut their first movie on September 1. The film is based on a novel by Nancy Naigle. Titled The Shell Collector, the film will start Hallmark favorite Christopher Russell and the press release says, the streaming has three more films planned for the next year adding there’s “ties to the holiday season,” suggesting a possible Christmas debut.
The Shell Collector will follow, based on the official plot, “a heartwarming story about a widow, Amanda Whittier, with two children who befriends some interesting characters in her small seaside town as she looks to forge ahead with her new life following the death of her husband.”
SHE RETURNS!
According to multiple articles, Enola Holmes 2 will drop November 4, making it likely the IDEAL drop date given the autumn vibes. This go round, the plot reads that Enola follows in her big brother’s footsteps and opens a detective agency. But unable to make a go of it independently as a young woman, she plans to close shop until, “a penniless matchstick girl offers Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister.” Of course, the plot also says that there’s more puzzling clues to this case than expected causing Enola to request the help of friends and even Sherlock to help.
Returning cast is Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill and even Helena Bonham Carter. Check out some teaser sequel photos, too!

Netflix’s Never Have I Ever will end with its fourth season following its third finale, a third season that just recently dropped on Netflix. During promotion for season three, co-creator Mindy Kaling says that it’s “fitting” the show end with season four because of its high school setting and therefore a good timeline for the characters and cast. The upcoming, likely in 2023, fourth year will also likely conclude the LOVE triangle drama. PS; I only watched season one, should I watch seasons two and three, too????

I’ll probably watch Enola Holmes 2 purely to see Henry Cavill!
Right? That’s a bit part for me too. I also did think the first film was fun. :)
