TEN OF THE FESTIVE CHRISTMAS BOOKS I OWN AND SHOULD READ

Oftentimes we look at the Christmas books that release in each year or at other Christmas topics, but I cannot remember if I’ve shared the festive Christmas books I own. It’s December now so talking reads that are Christmas inspired seems appropriate.

Pursuing my bookshelves, I did find ten books that fit our list. Plus, I do love the idea of a good Christmas read during this time of year. I rarely read them and yet the idea of picking a few up to enjoy this time of year is a happy thought indeed. Here’s hoping one of these years the last books I add to my β€œread” list is Christmas reading. In the meantime, let’s see what we’ll find.

CHRISTMAS BOOKS I OWN

SO, THIS IS CHRISTMAS, TRACY ANDREEN

This one just looks and sounds darling. Look at that cover. Additionally, there’s a sequel as a follow-up to this love story. Goodreads

CAROLS AND CHAOS, CINDY ANSTEY

Historical young adult romance isn’t something I see much of but Cindy is a popular author many enjoy. Goodreads

BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE, BETH GARROD

Do we need to say more about this beyond the cute title!? I mean I am sure the story inside matches and is equally adorable. Just sad to report I haven’t read this. Like any of these. Goodreads

JUST LIKE MAGIC, SARAH HOGLE

So many adore Sarah’s debut novel (I have a like-dislike relationship with the book) and I want to give another of her novel’s a chance. Picked up her Christmas release hoping it’s charming! Goodreads

THE HOLIDAY SWAP + ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, MAGGIE KNOX

Maggie’s books sound fabulous. I’m mostly curious about her last year release The Holiday Swap that seems to have reflections of The Holiday. Goodreads

LOVE FINDS YOU IN NORTH POLE, ALASKA, LOREE LOUGH

This is one of my unhaul titles that I have sitting in a box. Cannot remember if I ever read it or not but it sounds perfectly cute. Goodreads

EIGHT PERFECT HOURS, LIA LOUIS

Lia’s debut novel took the book world by storm so I’m curious to read some of her works. Someday. Also I’m not sure why I put this down as a Christmas novel since the date says this takes place in March? Goodreads

MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT, SARAH MORGENTHALER

Despite the best intentions, I haven’t read anything by Sarah. Her books seem and look dang fun so I’m glad she has a Christmas novel, too. Goodreads

THE CHRISTMAS CLASH, SUZANNE PARK

Suzanne wrote a book a couple years ago that I read and did enjoy. Hoping a Christmas release by her is fun, too. Goodreads

THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS, BELL RENSHAW

Bell writes the most darling and charming novels. Their small town settings with lovely romances. Goodreads

Thank you all for being here! Appreciate this very much. I hope to visit your spaces soon but until then, just want to always say my thanks that you take time to visit here.

Which of these do you own? Which have you read? What type of festive reading do you do or is reading Christmas books not your thing? Let’s chat it all up in the comment section.

Thank you for being here; please come back soon.

    1. Hi, Nikki – and thanks! I appreciate those kind words. :) I haven’t read many from this list, but if you like YA, I did enjoy What Light, It Happens at Christmas, 10 Blind Dates. For adult, Courtney Walsh writes sweet novels, there’s also Jenny Bayliss and if you like small hometown settings, from this list, Bell Renshaw writes charming romance stories. :) Appreciate you stopping by!

    1. That’s my feeling just from reading the synopis’, Pam. But then this could be because I like the film “The Holiday.” :) Thanks so much for visiting!

    1. They do to me as well. Especially The Holiday Swap which I think it a kind of play on the Christmas film “The Holiday.” :) Thanks for visiting, Lindsey.

    1. This is me with historical/period dramas. I love to WATCH period drama from British companies, but don’t really enjoy historical fiction. :) Thanks so much for visiting, Kelli. Appreciate this.

  1. I’ve not really read many Christmassy books because so many are heavy on the romance and I just don’t really like books where romance is the main plot! I’ve seen a couple of Christmassy murder mysteries this year though that looked fun, so maybe I’ll keep those in mind for next Christmas (or be a rebel and read them at another time of year!).

    1. There was one going around on Instagram a while back that someone said isn’t a primary romance but the title escapes me. Either way, I hear you on not liking to read a genre we don’t consider a favorite. There’s too many books that are good for us to read so why waste time on those we won’t care for? :) Thanks for visiting, Jo!
