‘ALL THE RIGHT REASONS’: A YOUNG ADULT REALITY TV ROMANCE. #YALit #BookReview #BookReviews #Reviews Share on XCara and her mother, Julia, are invited on a reality dating show where the mother and child try to find love for mom and a new stepsibling for Cara. Trouble is, will the right man step up for Julia, and what happens when she starts to fall for the cute boy who could be a stepsibling?
REVIEW | All the Right Reasons is one of those books I was introduced to through an email. I think. Asking me to remember is a stretch since it’s been a long time now since its twenty-twenty-two release day. Much to my own annoyance, I shamefully didn’t read it in full back then, and just recently picked the book up again to read and I will say, I’m glad to mark it “finished” now.
The book is a really cute premise and with the exception of sometimes struggling to remember which kid fits with which candidate, it’s an easy read. If I have one thing I would gripe about, it’s the drama. This is especially true of one scene especially since we don’t really feel because we didn’t see that the connection between the characters warrants these kinds of tears.
The book is still cute and would likely be most fun for anyone who is a reality TV junkie. Just know going in, this is more about Julia and Cara than it is any kind, no matter the age, a romance.
