‘CHRISTMAS IN NOTTING HILL’: TRAVEL TO ENGLAND ANSWERS LIFE QUERIES
A movie that takes our heroine to England, our time in Christmas in Notting Hill is (mostly) a good one.
Christmas in Notting Hill (2023) Hallmark TV Film Review
Close with her sister, and not about to miss Christmas together, Georgia (Sarah Ramos) travels to England to be with her now Londoner sister. Working her dream job at a museum, with a charming boyfriend, Lizzie (Joelle Rae) is happy, but even more so now that her sister is visiting and their Hawaiian shirt loving dad too will be there. What Georgia doesn’t anticipate is seeing how close and supportive her baby sister’s boyfriend’s family is. She is soon distracted by her chance meeting with Graham (William Mosley), a handsome stranger who offers to help her when they, quite literally, bump into each other.
As Georgia wrestles with a big decision and learns to adjust to this life her sister is building without her, Georgia tries to find out what her next step is. All while learning how to help Graham, who is also trying to make some unexpected choices.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘A BILTMORE CHRISTMAS’: HALLMARK MAKES UNIQUE PERIOD DRAMA
‘CHRISTMAS IN NOTTING HILL’: TRAVEL TO ENGLAND ANSWERS LIFE QUERIES. #WilliamMosley stars in this 2023 #HallmarkChristmasMovie. #ChristmasMovies #Christmas #ChristmasMovie #SarahRamos Share on XThis film is, for all the ups and downs, quite cute. It’s normal with its plot and storylines, but the (mostly) newer faces add a fresh energy some of these films just cannot sustain. Mostly this is because it feels like we’ve seen the frequent stars already play in any given movie concept. Either way, whatever anyone’s feeling may be about a tired and true script, Christmas in Notting Hill will likely entertain any frequent aficionado of the genre.
Easy to watch and without (too many) eyerolls, this is easily a favorite. I don’t love the let-me-be-angry scene because the reason is silly, but they make up for this by allowing the characters to talk through a latter possible disagreement. Plus, the script does it in a way that shows us Graham is a good guy (though we could argue we question Georgia) willing to try without giving up when something gets hard. Plus, I like that the two of them acknowledge there is something between them but aren’t sure what it’ll look like. The ending is also super cute.
The acting is good, and I enjoy Sarah in the leading lady role (she’s from last year’s A Kismet Christmas) and it was great fun seeing William Mosely in a role like this after his turn as Peter in The Chronicles of Narnia. Everything is fun about this one and I love the travel, and adventure of the film. Finally, when the film uses sequences to showcase family or fun, they are well done and work for the film. In short, this is one of my favorites of this year.

Content: this one is normal for a TV-G rating. There’s kissing, and one event is for a drag show if that bothers you. We only see snippets of the show.
