TEN of the MOST RECENT ADDITIONS to my BOOKSHELF
It’s always fun to show off our ten recent book purchases. Whether we received them from a publisher or bought them, a good book is always appreciated and it’s fun to add something new to the shelf. If I’m ever at a loss for a book list idea, this is something I really enjoy doing because any new additions we add to our shelf, well, they deserve to be shown off a bit. ten recent bookshelf purchases
LIST | RANKING THE CHRISTMAS MOVIES Of 2023: PART TWO
TEN of the MOST RECENT ADDITIONS to my BOOKSHELF. #TopTen #Books #Reader #Reading #TopTenTuesday #TopTenList Share on XIt’s the turn of my latest additions to the bookshelf to shine. We’re going to see what we have stacked up from recent Barnes and Noble orders, and what needs to be shelved to find our latest finds. Let’s cut this opening conversation short and get right to those books, shall we?
TEN RECENT BOOK PURCHASES
JULIETA AND THE ROMEOS, MARIA E. ANDREU
This cover art is just so whimsical and fun. Goodreads
THE BODYGUARD, KATHERINE CENTER
I adored Katherine’s Happiness for Beginners, so I’m hopeful more of Katherine’s novels are equally charming. Goodreads ten recent book purchases
BEST SERVED HOT, AMANDA ELLIOT
I’ve been read about Amanda’s novels for a while now but haven’t read one. Hopefully this one, now that it’s on my shelf, will be the one I finally read. The plot is all about foodies, and two opposing restaurant critics. Goodreads
ONE SMALL SECRET, ESTHER HATCH
A seasonal book that looked cute about best friends who suddenly realize they may have a deeper connection. Goodreads
HOST FOR THE HOLIDAYS, MARTHA KEYES
Martha’s novels do sound cute (Paris things happen in this one). I have seen some of her novels featured on social media, but haven’t read any yet. However, now I own a couple so here’s hoping. Goodreads
JUST FRIENDS FOREVER, MARTHA KEYES
The second novel I picked up by Martha, this too, like the Christmas romance, seems like it’d be charming. This one is about a recently divorced A-list actress who escapes life to stay with her best friend. Goodreads ten recent book purchases
IN THE BALLROOM WITH THE CANDLESTICK, DIANA PETERFREUND
This one is the third (and dramatic final) installment in the Clue Mystery stories, following the Blackbrook Academy students as they solve mysteries and forge new and unexpected relationships. Goodreads
THE MYSTERY GUEST, NITA PROSE
Haven’t read The Maid yet, but I’m curious about this book duo so I had to pick this one up. Goodreads
THE MISTLETOE BLUFF, EMILY SCHNEIDER
Presumably all about festive cheer alongside romance, this novel does look charming. Same goes for Emily’s first novel The Heart Shot which looks lovely. This one involves fake dating an archnemesis. Goodreads
HIS STAND-IN HOLIDAY GIRLFRIEND, KASEY STOCKTON
Another Christmas read (that includes trying to make an ex jealous). Question is, as someone who rarely reads seasonal novels (though I have good intentions to), why do I keep buying them? Goodreads
Are any of these titles on your shelf? Which ones have you read (and which ones are worth the time)? What books did you feature today? What would be on your ten recent book purchases list? Let’s meet in the comment section. I look forward to conversing with you all. ten recent book purchases
Thank you for visiting; please come back soon.
Linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl December 26: The Ten Most Recent Additions to my Bookshelf
Looks like very nice additions. Yes I have The Maid still sitting on my shelf to read. I enjoyed The Bodyguard, she usually makes me happy reading her books.
YES! Katherine’s book (based on the one I did read this year ;D) are happy reads. I enjoyed it so much.
I see The Bodyguard poppng up multiple times this week, I guess this is a sign for me to check it out.
My TTT: https://laurieisreading.com/2023/12/26/top-ten-tuesday-first-books-in-series-i-have-read-in-2023/
True! And sometimes I feel like the many times I see a book also means I need to read more about it. ;)
I hope you enjoy all of them!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thanks so much, Lydia.
I need to start Nita Prose asap. Happy reading!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy Nita’s books, Lauren. :)
I really need to read Katherine Center. I have a couple of her books on TBR and I’ve been seeing so much praise for her. I hope you enjoy all these books!
Thanks! I hope so too. I’m curious to read more by Katherine for sure. :)
Looks like some good additions to your shelf. I haven’t heard of any of these. I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks! I hope so as well, Sarah. :)
I enjoyed The Bodyguard, so hope you’ll love it too Rissi!
Thanks! Hope so too, Lindsey. :)
I don’t think I ever finished the Clue series!! I really should do that one of these days!
They sure do sound like they could be fun reads. :)
I haven’t read any of these, but I’ve had my eye on The Mistletoe Bluff myself and may end up getting it if I want one more cute Christmasy romcom after I finish the ones I’m reading :-)
(My TTT is here.)
It does seem to fit the cute romcom type look very well. :) So glad you stopped by, Rachel.
The Body Guard has been on my TBR for while. I hope you enjoy reading all of these!
Thanks! I hope so too, Jenni. :)
Esther Hatch and Martha Keyes are both authors I meant to try this year, but did not get to. Hopefully in 2024 ;)
I relate; there’s always so many authors that end up earing the “well… hopefully next year!” saying. ;)
At least we always have options!!!
Right? Love that. :)
THE MYSTERY GUEST is on my list today too. I hope we both love it! I’ve really enjoyed the three books I’ve read by Center, so I’m definitely on board for more from her. I haven’t read THE BODYGUARD yet. I hope you enjoy it and all these others.
Happy TTT!
Susan

Ooo, fun! Hope we both enjoy The Mystery Guest. It certainly looks intriguing. But I’ll admit I haven’t read much about it since I read book one and I’m leaning towards going into this one “blind.” :)
I loved The Bodyguard! It is charming, but it’s a romance rather than women’s fiction. I think it will delight you.
So glad! I love all the positive things for Katherine’s novel. :)
Great list, Rissi! I’ve got Best Served Hot and The Mystery Guest on my TBR, but I love the sound of the Clue mystery series. As someone who grew up on playing Clue, I think a book series about it seems so fun, and I can’t wait to add it to my TBR. Thanks for the heads up, and the rest of your list looks so fun. Enjoy your new books!
I played Clue too and have recently started playing board games again so I’ve re-played it a few times in recent weeks. It’s still fun! Hope we both enjoy the titles we share on our TBR, and you too! Hope you enjoy all of your new finds. :)
I haven’t read any of these authors but a couple of them look very interesting!
Fun. Hope if you do read the couple that sound interesting they’re amazing reads. :)
I haven’t read any of these, but those Martha Keyes books are on my TBR list. They sound so good! :)
Martha’s DO look super fun and cute. I’m hoping the story inside matches. :)
